I need to eat more veggies, but salads are getting boooring! I’ve put on about 15 pounds in the last year due to a thyroid problem, and the weight won’t come off, even though the meds supposedly has my condition under control. I feel sluggish and bloated, and need more energy.

Having my healthy meals planned out would be the easiest way to help me stay on track with eating healthier! It may be trickier to get my husband (A.K.A. The Meat Lover) to try it, but he does complain about the 75 pounds he needs to loose…

Kardena,

I have struggled with IBS for 20 years and have difficulty digesting meat. I have craved sugar due to inadequate protein intake and have gained weight as a result. My IBS has also precluded me from exercising and I need a good veggie diet that does not cause weight gain.

Your photos and story inspire me. Thank you for your work and for helping others.

The Easy Veggie Meal Plan would be the PERFECT product to finally help me eat healthy and lose weight because following your blog makes me realize that I’m a vegetarian who is ‘eating all the wrong foods’ for me.

I don’t want just a diet — I want a lifestyle change and I believe this is the product for me.

It’s not just about looking good (although that’s a plus!) — but it’s about being healthy and not being another unhealthy statistic.

I’m sure it will help me and I will be happy to share my experience with others!

I have been struggling for a few years now to eat the right things I don’t eat much meat now and I have been losing weigh but I don’t think I am getting the right nutrients anymore with a lack of food knowledge.

Finding meals that work in a fast pace world is a pain in the you know what! I have managed to cut out most fast food and I have eliminated all meat except for chicken breast from my diet. I would eliminate that as well but then I dont get enough protiens from the veggies and veggie products I do eat

Your product looks like an amazing guide to really get the right food knowledge to live healthy as a vegetarian

Thanks for sharing your knowledge through your emails and your site.

I believe that the Meal Plans would be the perfect product for me to eat healthy and lose weight. I have read so many books(vegetarian, vegan, and raw vegan) that have complex instructions on how to follow their meal plan. The plans are confusing and time consuming and I am usually put off. I had a chance to peek at the meal plans that you are going to offer and they were heaven sent!

I am a vegan who has been in and out of the gym and gone through many training sessions only to find myself fighting to stay within my vegan way of eating. The physical trainers that I have had either push a meat based diet or scoff at the fact that I am vegan. I usually stop after a while, tired of fighting. I feel that if I was armed and ready with a concise and easy to follow meal plan that would fit into my busy schedule, my fit dreams would come true! I am so ready to become one of your success stories!

I have been contemplating becoming a vegetarian for some time. I eat very little meat as it is but find myself concerned about getting sufficient nutrients by deleting specific food groups out of my diet. A lot of things you mention on the videos with Craig, like Hemp protein, soaking nuts, chia seeds, are foreign to me and i don’t know or understand how to use them.
having a plan like this seems like a good way to be introduced and to commence a lifelong diet change.
I have also been struggling with infertility issues (8 years), failed IVF (2 years) and health problems like Chronic fatigue (16 years) and Irritable bowel syndrome (23 years) and have always wondered if making drastic changes to my diet would help. In the past i gave up certain foods for periods of time but didn’t find it helped but maybe this kind of lifestyle change would be beneficial and having such guidance and direction would be the best way to go about it. Look forward to seeing more videos and learning more. Thank you

I need some veggies. I have lost about 40 lbs and have about 20 to go and I have stopped smoking and have begun to clean up myself. I think the antioxidants and nutrients in veggies will lift my eating to a new level that will help detox my body, clean up my soul, and help me eat much lower on the food chain. by doing these things I will engage more actively with my food choices, heal myself and benefit the world as a whole. Plus, the idea of Easy Veggie Meal Plans sounds right up my alley. Thanks for the opportunity to listen to the webcast and to possibly win a download. It’s all been motivating to me!

Hi there

Am very excited about this…

My husband and I are having to go through IVF as he had cancer and the chemo has played havoc with his system. We had a failed cycle at the beginning of the year and unfortunately with the hormones/drugs I am still carrying some extra weight that was put on from the treatment. We are making some some changes at home with our eating to give us the best chance of falling pregnant!!

Would love to win this book to help take the stress out of planning and shopping with this newish style of eating. I am enjoying the vego/vegan style of food but would like more ideas and I think planning will help us stick to the changes we have made.

Thanks

I love eating veggie, but have always had trouble getting “enough protein” in my diet, especially since I don’t like the fake meat products as I don’t like the texture of meat that these products so closely mimic.

Hi Kardena,

For me, I’m been pretty serious in the gym for the past few years – and have been vegetarian my whole life. Sounds like a pretty good combo right? Alas it isnt, simply because of my diet.

In the past year I got really serious about working out, got in touch with Vince Delmonte who’s program is second to none, that Ive seen thus far – and I read a lot:) Problem was: that no matter how hard I tried, I couldnt fully adapt the meal plans to be fully vegetarian (Not vegan, but no meat, fish, eggs etc) – I tried the best I could, and while muscle gains were amazing – that one or two inchs of fat around my waist would just not go away (anyone out there reading this please note: that this in no way says that the plans Vince has does not work, rather my diet. His plans are amazing!). When he sent out and introduced me to your programs (recently) it was the biggest positive change in my workout plan.

Thus:

“Why the Easy Veggie Meal Plans would be the perfect product to finally help you eat healthy and lose weight.”

The way you put the intro plans together were perfect. A perfect combination of what is needed in each meal and what is needed to prepare it. For me, not only did it help with my day to day training – I noticed more energy in and out of the gym and the ease of following it was amazing. It would be the perfect product for me to finally achieve the look I want as well as be healthier than I have ever been.

This is something I have been looking for – for a very, very long time. And would be the perfect addition to my life, and anyone elses.

Thank you
–Rak

I am a new vegetarian. My boyfriend is a vegetarian but eats meals that, although vegetarian, are not good for my tendency to put on weight especially with pastas, breads, etc. I like this because it is vegetarian but also good for healthy weight. I have been following the free meal plans came on a prior email and have been very happy! I had joined Weight Watchers, but for vegetarian they just said to compute the points. I like yours because it is easy to follow and has the nutritional stats as well! Thank you so much!

Hi Kardena!

I’ve been so excited about your website and your veggie meal plans since I heard about them. I’ve been a vegetarian for over 10 years and have never been able to really find a meal plan that suits me. I’ve been through dozens over the years. On one hand, I know the lean protein and fruits and vegetables are the way to go to get lean, but on the other, I really can’t stomach meat, for a lot of reasons. I even tried introducing fish into my diet for a few weeks, but I just can’t sustain it. So I always end up going back to a diet that is vegetarian, but is unfortunately way too high in carbs — and I really haven’t been able to reach my goals yet.

You look radiant. I’m really hoping that you’ll have some of the answers of “what to eat” when trying to get in shape and not being able to eat meat.

Maybe this will be the inspiration I need to go vegan…I’ve been wanting to for a while, but am worried about having enough choices. I know I just need to learn more about it!

I am a Vegetarian and have been working out for many years. The NET is full of info about working out and Nutrition. But all the Nutrition is only addressed to Meat eaters…..I have tried and failed, you cannot find a single decent Vegetarian Meal Plan on the NET or in Health Magazines. So when Kardena came up with this plan, I thought to myself “At last , someone is giving importance to the Vegetarians around the world”.

And since its been recommended by Craig Ballantyne and Vince Delmonte, two reputed Fitness Experts, then its surely going to be “the perfect product to finally help me eat healthy and lose weight.”

Hey Kardena,

I’m truly impressed with what I’ve read so far and have started to adapt from my old ways to the sensible way of the vegetarian (almost vegan)!

I’ve become a bit of an ambassador for the diet, gently explaining the dietary and ethical/environmental aspects to whoever shows an interest. And they are noticing. People comment on a difference in me, my vitality, clearer skin and eyes, and the obvious shedding of flab.

Thank you for the inspiration and the free kickoff. I’m now able to direct money from the food budget to other really important stuff. So…

Now it’s time to get serious, but I’m financially constrained by my wonderful life as a full time student and single parent. and that’s why I’m writing to ask for a gift of the complete program.

I’m not a vegetarian, and never will be. That said, I love the idea of going vegetarian several days a week.

I am type 2 diabetic, and generally eat a lower carb diet. I’m concerned with the amount of saturated fat in my diet though, and would like to find a meal plan where I can incorporate more veggies and non animal protein and still keep it simple and convenient.

I’ve struggled over the years to stick to my low carb diet. I get bored. I know that controlling carb intake is key to my diabetes, but sometimes the cravings get to me. I think eating this way will give me so many more fun and healthy options.

The meal plans I’ve seen so far make sense! I can pack an interesting lunch again! I’ll lose weight and be healthier! And I’ll still enjoy meat a couple of days a week when I want to. What could be better?

I can totally see this as a lifetime solution!

I am a vegetarian who also has arthritis, which can be exhausting and debilitating. Losing weight is a constant struggle because exercise must be easy on the joints. Preparing food can also be a challenge. Because of my condition, I try to eat as clean as possible. Doctors and nutritionists have told me that I should be eating meat for the protein, but I disagree. So I gather information wherever I can, and am constantly modifying recipes. Having all the information I need in one source would be such a relief! I feel I could improve my condition and lifestyle a lot if I weren’t spending so much time sitting and trying to work out what to eat in order to remain healthy and pain free. If I don’t win this book, I will be looking to buy it. Thanks for reading.

I’ve had great results following the precision nutrition system and became interested in a meat-free diet after reading their plant based diet guide. I’ve learned a lot about the benefits of a vegan diet, unfortunately I haven’t learned how to create a complete meal plan and my attempts to switch have all failed. The Done-For-You Advanced Veggie Meal Plans look very promising, hopefully these plans will help me to make the switch.

I have been a vegetarian for many years. I have struggle with weight issues as I have gotten older. I have talked to so many people at the gym, my doctor, and even my chiropractor, that insist that I have to get more protein in my diet to lose weight. I have been told to add eggs, chichen,or fish to my diet. Recently I was told that I am gluten intolerant so that eliminates wheat, barley, and rye products. The rice products I have switched to have started making me add more weight.

I have never been able to find the support I need as a vegetarian with nonvegetarians. Almost two months ago a ruptured a disc in my back. I don’t know when I will be able to go back to the gym,but I think that this book would help me and encourage me to lose the weight and get fit emotionally as well as physically. I haven’t been able to walk very well but I am improving every day. At least by following this diet even if I can’t do much but walk and do some light weights, I would be healthier! I appreciate that you have written this book. It is much needed for vegans and vegetarians alike.

I believe the Meal Plans would be perfect for me because it will take the guessing out of what I should be eating to get the nutrients my body needs to be healthy and loss the weight I have been trying to loss for a long time. With the Meal Plans, I will know exactly where my protein is coming from and that I am getting enough to help my body repair and build muscles after a good weight training workout.

I think Kardena does a very good job in educating about reading labels and understanding whats in the food we eat. I think this book would be a very valuable asset to me and my vegan diet lifestyle.

The outbreaks of food poisoning from meat products, as well as the increased concern over the additives in meat such as hormones and antibiotics, have led me to question meat’s safety. The benefits of switching to vegan are massive. I have therefore been trying hard to find nutrition guidelines and meal plans without having to eat meat and have been left frustrated. I have found a lot of bull information on the Net, and am very choosy as who I should trust. Kardena Pauza is America’s #1 High Energy Vegetarian and Vegan Nutrition Expert for Fat Loss. That is good enough for me, and it should also be good enough for you. Nutritionists have repeatedly shown in studies that a healthy diet consists of plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits, complex carbohydrates such as whole grains, and foods that are high in fiber and low in cholesterol and saturated fat. Vegetarianism is a diet that fulfills all these criteria, The ancient Greek philosophers, including Socrates, Plato, and Pythagoras, advocated vegetarianism. Other famous vegetarians include Leonardo da Vinci, Sir Isaac Newton, Leo Tolstoy, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and Henry Thoreau. This century’s celebrated vegetarians include Gandhi, the physician Albert Schweitzer, writer George Bernard Shaw, musician Paul McCartney, and champion triathlete Dave Scott. If a vegeterian diet is good enough for all these people who are specialists in their field including medicine, and also include a champion triathlete, then it is good enough for me. There goes the argument that you can not compete in sports on a vegeterian diet. In fact, it is my belief that one can have more energy and increase his athletic performance by eating Vegan. Vegetarianism is a cornerstone dietary therapy, used in Ayurvedic medicine, detoxification treatments, macrobiotics, the Ornish diet for heart disease, and in therapies for many chronic conditions. I therefore want to derive all these benefits by eating whole natural foods. “Easy Veggie Meal Plans”, will help me to eat healthy and lose weight at the same time. The plans are also budget-friendly what more could I ask for.

Hi.. I’m a French vegan since almost 2 years (I’m from France, actually I am living in Canada for 6 months). But in France, it’s not easy to find good information about this. Of course, in looking for well, I found lots of information, in French and in English. Too much information. And it’s really difficult to know if, finally, I eat well.

Also… I don’t success to lose weight ! However, I tried different manners, things. In more, I do sports everyday (Brazilian Ju-Jitsu, workout, cardio,…). And always not some fat loss !!
And.. I’m often tired !!! So, I don’t like that.

I have too a blog to inform people that to be athletic and vegan… it’s possible ! And I would want to help them more… but I can’t because I don’t know which information is good ! Sometimes, some people ask me : “Can I eat ??”. I try to answer them, but it’s difficult !

******Of course, I don’t want to put it your Plan… free !! I’m not crazy – I prefer to be an affiliate at your product.. and to win some money with you !******

It’s why the Easy Veggie Meal Plans is THE PERFECT PRODUCT to finally help me eat healthy and lose weight…. and maybe win some money ! 😉

PS: excuse-me, if my English is not really good… I’m learning it !

Thank you for your attention !

I believe that the meal plans would get me on track for my goal of more heathful eating. I have tried all the diet plans…Jenny Craig,Weight Watchers,Atkins,South Beach..even the grapefruit and the cabbage diet! Unfortunately, none of them left me with the knowledge to make a lasting change because I never felt satisfied. I’m a nurse and I’d like to model healthy changes to my friends, family and my patients.

With the help of some vegetarian friends,I am adding more fruits and vegetables to my meals, but other than that,I have no clue what next to do. I find as I get older, meat and poultry products are difficult to digest. My family tree is filled with diabetes, heart disease, hypertension and with turning 45 next year,I’d like to kick those risk factors to the curb. My vegetarian friends have a glow of vitality about them, and I’d like to see how my life can improve! Help me to become a success story!!

Meal Plans would be perfect for me as I have recently found out that dairy and wheat are both contributing factors to my excessively bad eczema (my fingers get so badly split I am unable to bend my fingers without them bleeding). After finding this out I have decided I would like to change my eating habits completely and try a completely vegetarian lifestyle (I dont actually eat that much red meat anyway) so there is a LOT to learn and I need all the help I can get!

Not only will this guide me as to what to eat of what sort of vegetables and fruit to still be getting enough of everything in my diet but it will obviously help with my ongoing struggle with my weight. I turned 30 in February of this year and I have an almost 4 year old, an almost 3 year old and a 15 month old and have not yet succeeded in getting back to my goal weight. Also, I am so extremely busy with the kids, my partner and the running of the house I dont seem to make time for myself but have come to realise that I need to find a good balance and that I need “me” time and need to look after myself as much as I look after everyone else. I think a change in my eating habits will be a great foundation to a better life for me, my kids and my partner.

I abstain from meat 3 times a week as it is customarily for some persons of Indian origin. I find myself not knowing what to eat on these days and find it difficult to loose weight because of eating oily stuff. I need a veggie meal plan for these days that would assist me in my weight loss and also maintain my supply of carbs , protein and essential fats.

Every other meal plan/diet that I have come across is non vegeterian. It has just been 3 years that I have become vegeterian and sometimes it is tough for me to choose food. It is boring to eat the same kind of meal all the time. I know I have made and I am making a lot of mistakes while choosing veg food by not taking the nutritious food thinking it is full of fats because I don’t see any change in my body. I’m sure it will help me to choose the right kind of food and help prepare delicious vegeterian meal. I’m sure it teaches how to add protein to each and every meal cause it is difficult for vegeterians to get enough protein compared to non vegeterians.

I have been a vegetarian since November 2008, but since making the change I have gained 20 lbs in weight, really bad sugar cravings leading to binge eating and emotionally unbalanced. The reason I became a vegetarian is because of my love for animals and of how they are treated today to meet the human meat eater need. Also, to prove to women that a body transformation can be achieved as a vegetarian.

In making the change, I tried to find books on vegetarian diets that were simple and I train in the gym a lot (with not much results these days due to nutrition) but theses people I train with are meat eaters, who have no understanding. The best advise they give me is to maybe start eating fish and chicken again to lose the body fat.
I have lost 10 lbs so far from juice detox’s but now I am stuck, feel like I am limited to what I can eat and my goal is to achieve a fitness model body as a vegetarian with 12% body fat (currently at 21%)and a healthy eating lifestyle. But trying to reduce carb intake to at least 25% and an increase of protein to 50% for 12 weeks training on a vegetarian diet doesn’t seem possible until I saw the sneak preview of the veggie plans. This has given me hope!
Finally, I also work for a company that is a great believer in the vegetarian diet and with my great success this will help impact the lives of others, in making a difference.

Why would the Easy Veggie Meal Plans be the perfect product to finally help me eat healthy and lose weight? I’m just a young guy who has always wanted to pack on some muscle through exercise. I figured this because I always felt so tired and I was starting to get a bit overweight. I could not wear this fashionable belt because the buckle would stab into my gut fat when I’d sit down. Ha-ha. It was a pain. So last year, I went through a certain workout program that only required 10 minutes a day. I went through the program for months trying to get into shape. And I did drop 36″ from my waist to a 34″. However, I noticed that there was one more thing I needed to change. And that was my diet. I could never burn any more fat off because of my horrible diet. I was so confused on what to eat that even when I ate pizza one time, I thought I lost some pounds of fat! I always ate the most unhealthy things because the workout program made me so hungry. I ate anything from cookies to TV dinners.

From the many meal plans that I’ve seen, they all have one problem for me. And that problem is dairy. Yes, that’s right, I’m lactose intolerant. Every single meal plan that I have seen that claims to help people pack on a lot of muscle usually include dairy. There has not been one diet out there yet that I have seen which is actually dairy-free. You would not believe how many people in the U.S. who have ancestors from Europe, Africa, or Asia (and maybe other parts of the world) that would actually love a meal plan like that. I actually do eat meat; so that’s not a problem for me. And plus there is usually veggies in the fridge but I don’t know in what ways I can cook them! So maybe your meal plan can help someone like me who has been struggling to find the right diet.

I have been overweight throughout my teenage years, and finally decided, after much teasing, looks of contempt from boys who passed over me to date my more beautiful and slimmer friends and snide comments from my mother- that I wanted to look the best I ever have before I hit 25 years of age.

I think being vegetarian would be ideal, and low cost, which would be graet considering the fact that I’m working full time to save and take up a degree course in Journalism.

If I had an arsenal of easy-to-follow and delicious recipes at my disposal, it would make weight-loss so much easier for me without having to rack my brains on what to eat that day.

Sorry, I don’t know how to edit my comment but the part where I talk about my waist isn’t what I meant to say. I meant to say, “And I did go from a 36″ waist to a 34″.”

I’ve been raised a vegetarian all my life. When I picture a vegetarian, I picture a really skinny guy eating a soy veggie patty in a sandwich. I don’t want to be that guy. About 6 months ago I got interested in exercise and how to get a 6 pack. I have looked at so many programs and food plans but they ALWAYS include meat. There is just so much information out there but none really that goes into vegetarianism and weight lifting. All they ever talk about is eating 1000 lbs of meat and taking 10000 protein shakes a day. When they do mention eating vegetarian, they are so broad and vague. When I heard about this book I new this was what I was looking for. I eat eggs and dairy but not fish or any other type of meat. I am going to be heading to college in a month and I have no idea what I will be eating. This book would be perfect for me and my goals. I am going to be using craig ballantyne programs and I need to be eating the right foods for my body and mind. I need something “easy” AND “veggie”. This is the book for me!

I would love to eat more vegetarian meals. While I am a meat eater – I do not eat a lot of meat, never have, and I could stop altogether if I had some meals that I could count on eating daily. I’m about 50 lbs overweight and I feel that eating vegetarian could really benefit me. I tried going that route once before but found myself eating a lot of processed foods which I didn’t feel any better eating. I enjoyed listening to the recording and reading the 10 things to stay away from on a veg. diet. I am cleaning up my diet from some of those things as we speak.
Thank you for all the help you are giving me.

I was recently diagonized with high blood sugar; type II diabetes!Talk about the world crambling down! Up until now, I had never tried a vegan diet before, but now it appears this shall be my way of life! To be honest, the first few weeks were hash; I mean veterian diet, ouch!No meat, no eggs?; but then after a while i realized that my eating habits were primarily responsible for my condition and if i did not do something i would definitely die. I mean b4 i got sick, i stood in at a whooping 135 Kg and iam only 37yrs old! and i knew i had to shed thoe kilos off, but when you are diabetic you naturally lose alot of weight fast, but that is not the kind of weight loss i had in mind.I mean i want to control the way i lose the weight and so i started searching for information about the right kind of diet to follow and then i stambled across your sample meal plans.I have been trying them for the last week and i think i came to the right place; who thought i could ever eat raw oats in the morning! Those meal plans are easy to follow because the foods are great, the meals are fast and easy to prepare, variation is good, and most of all for me,affordable! and since i want to control my weight i have no doubt your mealplans will work for me!

I’ve been a vegetarian/vegan for 15 years but have always struggled to stay within my healthy weight range. I am currently 10-15 lbs over my weight goal, recently lost 10 lbs, but now I am stuck. I know I must be missing something because I generally eat pretty healthy(especially compared to most people I know). I would love to learn more about what I can do to make healthier choices. Especially as I get older, it is getting much harder to keep on track.

Thanks for this great opportunity.

I’ll be honest, Veggie Meals Plans aren’t for me, but for my dad. As someone who’s long struggled to take weight off, he’s just passed retirement and is still sporting an significantly unhealthy amount of fat around his midsection.

His biggest downfall is a lack of direction. He’s off most animal products (bar dairy) for his health (blood pressure, cholesterol, etc.) but always seems to reach a weight point where he gets stuck before clambering back up the scale again. All because he loses focus, gets bored with the same foods and jumps off the bandwagon.

So I think a collection of healthy vegetarian meals will provide him with a guide that fits into his dietary needs of health and fat loss, (sendentary retiree with excess abdominal fat = a not happy doctor) but also means he can stick to it due to the variety and ease of use.

Hi,
I look at such meal plans very doubtfully and it looks like wasting money. Another thing – i like meat and i can’t imagine how it is possible to live without it.
So I’m writing to comment only for that reason that maybe if i win – i could take a look at those plans and at least for several days try to change my eating habits.

I really take this opportunity to thank the whole team for having given us the minimum calories of food required per day for a particular age and at particular activity of a person. This is not just helpful for me alone but it is common factor for many like me.Thanks a lot

I’ve been a vegetarian since 1986, used to have a healthy diet and lifestyle, but now that I’m trying to get back into it I’ve forgotten so much! When my son was born, I had the support I needed to swim a couple times a week (I was on high school swim team, so knew the techniques to make it a real workout) and I made sure to keep eating healthfully so I could nurse him better. We moved when he was 2 and I quit working out and began picking up Taco Bell or frozen pizza for the convenience. Now he’s 6 and I can’t fit into anything I wore when he was a baby. I’ve tried cooking for us, but honestly don’t have any inspiration or ideas re: what to cook. I don’t know what to make! It used to be fun to play around and experiment in the kitchen, but he won’t eat an “experiment”, so we haul out the pasta and jar of sauce again… This isn’t good for us, and I am starting to have health problems because of the unhealthy diet and lack of exercise. I’ve joined a gym and my son understands the importance of mama working out, but that’s only half the equation. I need to find healthy vegetarian things we can both eat that he will enjoy and that won’t take me all afternoon to make or clean up after. A week of well-planned meals that give us what our bodies need could be just the push we need to get started towards cooking and living in a much healthier manner, and we could begin mixing ‘your’ meals with other ideas. We would both be better off for it!

I feel that armed with Meal Plans I can can move forward and begin my lifestyle change. I have long wanted to take up a vegetarian lifestlye and Meal Plans would seem to be my best ‘roadmap’to get me where I would like to be. I am currently
working in West Africa and the of foods although adequate are not extensive in terms of variety. However there is a great deal of fresh produce available at the local markets and it is mostly organic so this is as good an opportunity as ever to make the change.

I’ve recently begun to eat less meat and more veggies and fruit in my meals because I need to reduce my high cholesterol. So far I’ve lost 15 pounds and have been able to lower my cholesterol. My HDL is up, and LDL is down, as well as my Triglycerides.

But it hasn’t been easy trying to figure out what to eat to have a balanced diet. I eat steel cut oatmeal for breakfast everyday and sometimes include it at lunch and dinner. I eat oatmeal because I know it is a good food that will help lower my cholesterol. Because the reduction of meat has helped me lower my cholesterol, I am trying to eliminate meat completely from my diet. From your sample food menus, I am hoping your book will be a great help in my conversion to a non-meat diet and healthier life style.

All my life I have struggled with slightly anorexic eating habits to keep slim. I also smoked a lot and did “recreational drugs” (fast dieting). Since many years I have been off these bad habits, but I still couldn’t master the proper eating, and I would still smoke a cigarette with my coffee for breakfast.
Since 1,5 years I am a non-smoker and I gained the feared weight. For the first time in my life I am chubby, and I really suffer from this. I have during this 1,5 years changed my eating-habits, studied nutrition and healed my totally destroyed digestive system. It is tough since I don’t really see any results in my weight and it is hard to stay motivated. But I do notice my improved health and I refuse to give up.
I am a therapist and everything I learn on this journey is used to help others to do it as well. The reason for the veg. diet is because that is where my body and I ended up through all of this, when I eat vegetarian I feel better, simple as that, but it is not so easy always to know what to cook etc, especially as I still have a child at home and need to make it attractive for her as well.

Hi ,
It`s been a very long time since I`ve finally trully believed that I can get lean through my vegetarian way of life.I`m 17 and have been a vegetarian for 14 years and everytime I`ve had people telling I can`t gain muscle, can`t get lean or can`,t grow taller without meat .Even my gym trainers used to tease me saying you can`t grow muscle from weeds.I`ve been struggling to find a good vegan meal plan to help me get lean and build muscle but everything I found was to confusing or even sometimes contradictory. When I first saw your meal plan I finally believed that there is hope for me .I`ve already been on a very strict training diet as I had gotten to 211 pound and now I have only 170 but I still have 14% BF and with your meal plan I believe that i can reach that lean below 10% BF.
Anyway thanx for all the tips and videos on exercise as they`ve helped me a lot.

I would say I’m probably a typical yo-yo dieter. Since the birth of my daughter, as many fathers know, even the father puts on that bit of extra “baby weight”. With the wife having all those strange cravings, it’s inevitable that some will rub off on the other half – me! Anyway, since then, both my wife and I have struggled to lose that extra weight we both put on. We have both tried all sorts of things; typical mainstream diets and the not so mainstream.

With some we had success, with others, one of us did and not the other, and some others we just couldn’t get to work at all. With those that we found did work, they worked for a short while and then it all went Pete Tong and we’d end up piling the pounds back on. Unrealistic plans that were impossible to stick to on a long term basis.

My wife has severe allergies to many different foods, although the doctors deny this. However, after she eats something with, lets say for example, too much refined sugar, she’ll crash and burn afterwards; sometimes a few hours after sometimes a couple of days after. With previous plans that we’ve tried the limitations on food have been too restrictive, not leading to binge eating, but leading to snacking, often on these refined sugar treats, that are just so common in our society these days. Vegetarian meal plans could be the answer to this all too common problem. Simple meals, simple ingredients, nothing to go wrong!

My hope is that these veggie meal plans do exactly what they say on the tin. After so many promises about easy meals, easy weight and fat loss, I am hoping that Kardena Pauza is that lady that stands out from the rest and that actually stands on what she says. Many dieticians, especially on the net, are overweight themselves, and don’t actually follow anything that they tell you to do. They set you unrealistic plans which are actually impossible to stick to, unless you’re happy to eat just a leaf for lunch! If Kardena is different, which I believe her to be, then this could be just the answer we have been looking for; easy meal plans that are both delicious, nutritious and, very importantly, filling. Finally, the way that we might actually be able to lose those stubborn pounds and get back our lean bodies!

I have been going to the gym and eating healthy for about three years. I have been waiting to feel better and have the energy that everyone talks about but it just hasn’t come about. Having read and watched much of the information you have put out I am starting to see why. I checked my kitchen and found 9 out of 10 items that were on the list of vegetarian foods not to eat. I find myself giving in to the ‘easy out’ of eating out of a can or the freezer. I want to eat healthier but it seems like you can’t trust anything you buy. Having a nutrition plan is the perfect way ensure you’re eating and preparing the right things in the right way. Everyone I’ve talked to agrees that vegetarian/vegan is the way to go, I just need some help getting there.

The strange thing is I am mostly a vegetarian, that is , I think I eat right. But I still find it difficult to keep the weight off. I am 52 and I think menopausal changes may also be a cause of the pear shaped body that I seem to have currently. I use very little oil in my cooking.I try to cook my meals with more of grilling, sauteeing, or steam cook methods. and I also use the short interval balance diet method – I have small frequent meals and avoid snacking on junk food. Now what else can I do to stay fit and the right weight?
Also my energy levels fluctuate. There are days when I get tired just gettting up and making breakfast. And other days I am like a whizzing cracker. I keep working till my back gives way. I have a slipped disc since 4 years and have to stay off too much physical activities.
I hope and feel that your book will help me change and take control of things since I believe that most illnesses and problems with the body start because of chemical imbalances and can be corrected through the right diet. Thats the secret to a long and healthy life.

I’ve always been interested in going vegetarian. I’m like most women, and have battled with my weight for some time (I still fight bulimia but am doing much better after a year). I pretty much eat only fruit and vegetables when I’m doing good and am not a huge fan of meat products. Unfortunately after having tried so many carb restricting diets to stop weight gain, I’m almost scared to eat carbs (except on those days when I can’t help but eat a whole container of cookies and a loaf of cuban bread).I need something that can help me be healthier and I think this will be it. I know I need help with other things, but I hope this will shove me in the right direction without feeling the need to eat in secret. To be more comfortable with myself and hopefully better feeling all around. Thank you.

I’ve been a vegetarian for 22 years and am two stone overweight. I only eat wholefoods, mostly organic and home grown. I make my own bread and yoghurt and everything is cooked from scratch. Although I’m practically vegan, my cholestrol is so high my doctor wants me to go on medication, which I won’t do. I don’t eat any junk, so what am I doing wrong? I’m a sports coach so get lots of exercise and I also train with weights. Seeing as the diet is working for you maybe if I followed your meal plans exactly I might be able to lose the weight. It would be just great to have the worry and hassle taken out of trying to figure out what to eat and how many calories and how much protein, etc I’m eating. I just feel so ashamed when I tell people I’m a vegetarian and involved in sports and yet I’m so overweight.

I also have a husband who eats meat and I would like to try to get him to eat more vegetarian food- it would save me cooking separate meals!! If I can share these ideas with him he would have the added benefits of not eating red meat and clogging up his arteries. Which is good for anyone.

So, to sum it up, your book would be a great way to try and sort out my stubborn fat and improve the health of my family.

I must be doing something wrong. I think its the bread, pasta and pizza. I can’t tell you how disheartening it is when you tell someone that you’re a vegetarian and they look you up and down and say, “I thought vegetarians are supposed to be skinny.” Yeah, lady thanks a million for your lovely commment. I never had any guidance on how to be a “proper vegetarian”, I don’t really know how to balance meals or to get enough protein. I am 44 years old and have always been good about exercising. My diet has always been my downfall. At age 30, 35, and 40 I have definitely noticed changes. My metabolism has slowed way down, I don’t recover as well from a tough workout, or from minor illness, weight has been creeping on and doesn’t shed like when I was in my 20’s. I have high cholesterol and bad family history of heart disease and cancer. All this being said I have 3 kids (9, 11, and 15) and I want to be healthy for them. I want to be there for them and most of all I want to set a healthy example. Being a good parent is more than saying “eat your fruits and vegetables” you have to “show them” the way to live healthy.

Hi Kardena,

I found your website last week via Craig Ballantyne and as a life long carnivore (chicken, fish or steak at every meal!), I was really surprised to find out that Craig was advocating a Veggie diet. To say that I was intrigued was an understatement.
I signed up to your newsletter and and downloaded the meal plans and had a look…

One week on, and I have been vegetarian all week! Although I’ve been feeling pretty healthy and good about my diet, I actually feel much better than before! I have that extra bit of pep in my step and I am feeling fuller for longer!

I am really enjoying this new way of eating and it has released me from the same old meals, day in, day out. I am really excited about this new (for me) way of eating! As a new vegetarian I really could do with some nutritional guidance and some nutritionally balanced veggie recipes.

Wether you pick me or not I just want to say thank you for getting me started on this new journey!

Jason

I have struggled with annorexia for many years and diet and nutritition have been my daily nightmare. Since i’ve followed your vegan meal advice and recipes i am on the road to total health. I am eating regularly. I enjoy my meals and look forward to each meal which is jam packed with nutrients my body requires. I don’t feel bloated neither nauseas after meals and most of all i don’t need to worry about my weight and i am looking great these days – everybody is asking me “what my transformation is all about”!!
Thank you, thank you!

I am 48 years old and have battled excess weight all of my life. I had just about decided to give up on trying to have a healthy looking body and just try to maintain what I had. However, my wife and I just adopted two children ages 3 and 2. Now I have serious motivation. I want to be around for these children when they reach adulthood, and I want to have the energy to be able to play with them (and just keep up with them!) while they are getting there. I need something easy and inexpensive to help me do that, and I believe this vegetarian lifestyle is the answer. Thank you.

Easy Veggie Meal Plans is exactly what I need. Up until this last year, I’ve been a vegetarian/vegan for most of my life. But recently, I’ve been eating fish about three times a week. Guess what, I definitely feel worse when I’m consuming animal products. Everyone told me I’d be stronger in the gym – wrong. Also, I’m carrying more body fat than ever before. Eating a healthy vegetarian diet works way better for me. To be honest, it’s easy to eat a vegetarian diet, but to eat a balanced, “healthy” vegetarian diet that takes a bit of know how. So when I heard about Kardena Pauza’s, Easy Veggie Meal Plans, I got excited. Here’s someone who obviously knows what she’s talking about. I can’t wait to go back to a vegetarian diet and with Kardena’s guidance and expertise I’m sure I’ll not only feel great, but I’m confident I’ll achieve my weightloss goals as well.

I’ve been a vegan for over three years now. There’s so much information available which is great but also confusing. It is really easy to fall into eat Vegan junk food while convince yourself that it’s healthy because its vegan. I also know that I could have more energy if I were able to get rid of the junk in my diet. Having meal plans laid out would be a great guide to help me start eating all the healthy vegan foods that really are good for you.
4 years ago I competed in a figure competition as a meat eater. I would love to be able to do another competition as a vegan to show people that it is a healthy diet and you can still build muscle and be fit without animal protein. I feel like having these meal plans and recipes would help to change my eating habits and get me back on track.

Hi Kardena!
I would love to win a free copy of your meal plans. I have struggled in the past with eating more veggie based. I ate way to many refined carbs. I love that you emphasize balancing protein, carbs, & fats. I’d really love to see some new recipes to get me motivated to return to a more plant based diet!

For about five (5) years I have been on a semi vegetarian diet. Eating fish, diary and eggs. Two (2)times I have tried to move to an ovo-lacto vegetarian diet and once tried to go vegan but went back to semi vegetarian because I will gain weight especially in the mid section. I have previewed and used the 7 day meal plan, but without the soy and I did not gain any weight. Like the above post I too had a lot of problems with my digestive system and came to realize that a more plant based diet is easier on my system.

I would love to win a copy of the meal plans! I studied a little nutrition when I was in school for massage therapy. I was convinced that a veg lifstyle is so very healthy, but replacing meat with pasta, potatoes, and wheels of cheese didn’t exactly help my weight or health! I really don’t care to replace all my protein with processed meat substitutes either. I love to cook and getting a chance to make healthy veg meals that would help me attain a leaner look would be just what I’m looing for.
Thanks!

Why the Easy Veggie Meal Plans would be the perfect product to finally help you eat healthy and lose weight?:

1. I used to eat out a lot before but it didn’t help me losing the weight I should not have. So I started cooking at home with raw foods. I lost weight by doing so for the past 1 year. I wish I can continue eating healthy at home.

2. I am not a super chef, I cook simple & fast meals. After some time, I end up eating the same meals through out the month, this meal plan will help me keep up healthy eating & weight management without same boring meal being served in my plates.

3. I am just so tired reading every ingredients and spend hours at hypermarket for shopping just to ensure I can get something beneficial to my body. Going veggie & know how to cook delicious vegies, definately can solve this so I’ll have more time for workout & relaxing.

4. Grass feed meat in my country almost unavailable while antibiotic free chicken pricing is 2x or 3x regular chicken, leave vegetables & fish as better option. I wonder how many animals antibiotics I would have input in my body if I keep on eating them. I’ll choose vege over fish most of time because it can be eaten raw, less calories even I eat lots of them and fast to cook.

I have been reading all your plans to date and like what I read. I would really like to get my diet to come into itself so that I can start healing my body. My joints seem to be failing me including my jaw so often I have a problem with chewing. I believe that if I did eat the way you all have been portraying the vegan way that my body would start to detoxify and eventually become healthy again so I can continue to enjoy my active lifestyle. My body is starting to slow me down and I am not liking it. If I had meal plans that I could just follow I know that I can get my body back in good health and lose the weight I need to at the same time. I also do the short workouts suggested by Scott Colby whom you recently had an interview with. Thank-you for all you are doing for us and showing us the way to a healthier vegan way of life!

Dear Kardena.
I have been extremely fit all my life. Last year the bombshell dropped. I was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrullation, high B.P. and high cholesterol. This was a real blow to me mentally as I was still training and fighting guys 30+ years my junior, as I am a blackbelt kickboxer. Physically and mentally I retreated for around 5-6 months, but then I thought “what the hell!” Now, I’m 56 years old, weigh 84 kilo and train six times per week, utilizing Craig Ballantyne’s Turbulence Training techniques. I’m now ready, (and confident) to take that extra step and revolutionize my diet. I firmly believe that with your assistance, I will move forward from feeling and looking good, (others words not mine), to looking and feeling “fantastic”.
Please give me an opportunity to win one of your life-changing books.
Martin.

I really need help! I want to swich me and my families thinking of veggies as a side dish with meat and starch and bring healthy well rounded veggie meals to the front and center of our eatting. However I cook for our family of 7, run an in home busisness and run all my children around so at the end of the day I fall back to preparing meals that are quick and require no thought from me-so back to meat, starch, veggie on the side! Augh. As parents we not only want to swich our thought process but our childrens as well so they can hopefully enjoy vibrant, disease free living. We are also becoming more aware on the toll that the beef industry is taking on our enviroment and resources.
I am committed to making the swich, living healthier and having more energy as well as maybe dropping 10-20 pounds! 😉 But I need help and feel that getting your book would give me the back bone I need! Thank you for this chance to win a copy but more so for your guidence!

Hi Kardena & Craig,

I would benefit from the Easy Veggie Meal Plans because I have the dreaded protein guilt that Craig often talks about. I am preparing for a figure competition and am surrounded by typical bodybuilder culture and a diet dominated by chicken and fish, even though I would prefer a plant based diet. I just don’t know how to get enough protein from plant based sources while staying in a caloric deficit but continuing to grow muscle.

Best,
Nicole

I have been exploring the topic of health, nutrition and weight loss since I was in the 6th grade when I decided to no longer eat red meat. Since that time it has felt like a long series of ups and downs of eating this way and eating that way. I have been vegan, raw vegan, raw non-vegan, high protein, low fat, you name it. To be honest, it is a little embarrassing to even post on here how many different ways of eating I have tried. I have celiac and asthma and really feel there is a connection to the foods I eat and the health of my body. I also feel that the what we choose to eat impacts our environment. Although I believe these things, I also feel very confused by mixed messages I have found in my journey toward better health. When I was raw and ate a lot of nuts, agave and oils- I seemed to gain a lot of weight, spent a lot of money, gained a lot of weight and felt very heavy. When I ate low fat raw, I seemed to feel ungrounded and started to feel queasy when I thought of eating more sugary foods. I am working out 6 days a week, but still feel very lost when it comes to the nutritional part of my health. I am ready to just have a way of healthy, sustainable eating that I can count on and stick with for the long haul. My hope would be that your book could be it.

I feel like I have struggled with weight all my life. As a child the kids used to make fun of me saying ‘I broke the scale’ because I did not want to disclose my weight…I was chunky as a kid but not obese. My family has health issues such as cardiovascular/heart disease and obesity. I have always struggled with this as I do not want to end up like them. I workout regularly and eat healthy. I would like to make a change and start to eat more vegetarian and need guidance in this area. I have turned 40 this year and I see how important clean nutrition is, especially as we age to help keep hormones balanced and to keep the body in check. My husband is on deployment for 6-12months and I would like to have a great transformation on his return. Of course converting him to go veggie will be challanging…maybe I can get him to be more flexatarian. But I know he will be open to a healthier way of eating.

I absolutely know the vegetarian “eating” plan will work for me. I don’t call it a diet but a way of eating. I just don’t know what combination of foods can make it a complete protein, meal to become a total vegetarian. Last year, I was very depressed with myself and finally did something about it. I joined a boxing gym, went to group training, went to group classes and changed my food selections and I feel eating non-meat makes me feel even better. I eat a lot of tofu, leafy green veggies, fruits and grains like quinoa and oatmeal. But I want to know more what other foods, and probably distributed can help me become totally vegetarian. So that is why your eating plan will help me tremendously.
Thanks for the offer! It is really appreciative!

I have in recent years been diagnosed with non Hodgkin’s lymphoma and osteoporosis and struggle to get excess weight off from around my middle. I have done the diet thing many times only to find that the rolls start to creep back after about a year. Recently I have decided to go vegetarian and now struggle to find recipes etc that are fairly quick and filling. I work my own cleaning business and time to eat and prepare food is short let alone trying to find good recipes to make. What inspired me to go in this direction is my daughters who have also decided to go vegetarian. I would be so relaxing to have a source to go to that I can count on having tasty meals, quick reference, and a tool that I can just plug into and go with. I desperately want to keep the lymphoma in remission. Thanks for your time in reading this. Patricia

My story is short and simple with no life threatening diseases. I am 29 and 5’1″ and am 80 pounds overweight I woke up one day and was tired of what I was seeing so I started doing some walking and running and a little bit of weights. The first month I lost 12 pounds by adding a lot of water to my day. I dont eat a lot of meat but a lot of fish and salads are always the same. I need something to add variety and healthy living to my life to help loose more weight and mostly to be a healthy person. With your help in meals planing I will be on my way to becoming that.

Why the Easy Veggie Meal Plans would be the perfect product to finally help you eat healthy and lose weight?

First of all, I have tried many diets in order to lose weight and I have not been successful. I continue to be in a constant battle with my weight and need something that can work for me.

I love veggies, however, my problem is that I get bored with the meals I fix and I need a variety of meals. I have a hard time digesting meat and therefore I hardly eat it.

I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and I also have arthritis and I know for a fact that sugar and flour are doing severe damage to my body on top of not being able to digest meat.

At one time the inflammation on my joints was so severe that I could hardly walk and move, much less drive to work, I was desperate and change my eating habits to only fruits and veggies and I was pain free for the first time in a long time, however, I stopped because I was tired of eating the same thing over and over.

My hope is to try the Easy Veggie Meal Plan and be able to find other eating habits that would not make me feel discouraged and ultimately would benefit my health and to be able to incorporate it as part of my life and not only for a short period of time.

I have struggled all my life with my weight. I was put on my first diet at age 9. I have never had a good role model for healthy eating. About 6 years ago I started having episodes of migraines, vertigo, acid reflux. None of my doctors could figure out what was wrong. I started paying attention to my diet choosing more whole foods and was able to regain some control. I started racing in 5 Ks. Last November the episodes started occuring again, so I did an elimination diet. I found a vegan, whole food diet was what helped me the most. During the past 8 months I have eliminated most of my migraine episodes and acid reflux. I have made strides toward being weened off my insomnia medicine. I have been given a clean cancer screening with no pre-cancerous cells. In November I was at 70% precancerous cells and had been for two years. However, even as all these good things are happening, I am struggling to plan my meals and make this a lifestyle. I have gained 33 pounds since January eating a vegan diet. Obviously, I am chosing foods and making meals that are helping me, yet hurting me at the same time. I now am at the highest weight I have ever been in my life. I need help continuing to eat healthy, meeting my nutrients, yet learning how to lose weight healthily and safely at the same time.

I really enjoy exercise, but I’m to the point where it’s a focus on diet is what I need to get off the last 10 pounds. I have been vegetarian for more than five years now, so I’ve struggled to find a nutrition plan that works with my lifestyle. The vegetarian nutrition plans I’ve seen in the past seem too carb-heavy, and I know carbs just don’t keep me full the way protein does. A nutrition plan that features vegetarian protein is necessary to keep me feeling full and energetic as I lose weight.

I lost 50 pounds over the course of a year about six years ago, but I’ve recently gained some back. I have a busier life now, more times when I must eat out. I’ve also been relying on dairy sources for protein (cottage cheese, Greek yogurt) but I know I did better when dieting when I greatly reduced my dairy intake. I know “Veggie Meal Plans” would help get me back on the right track in that regard.

Thank you!
Kristi

I’m now eating lots of fruits and salads but getting tired of just salads to get my veggies. I need ideas to get more variety in my vegetables and how to get more protein without having to eat meat and lots of cheese to get it.

I am 51 years old and work out 2-3 hours day running, swimming, lifting weights. I also run endurance races ranging from 50k to 100 miles. I got injured about 1 1/2 years ago, out for 10 months, and put on about 30 pounds.

Over the past year, I have been extremely frustrated with my inability to get this weight off. Despite being in menopause, I feel that my degree of exercise should keep me at a reasonable weight but this has not been the case. I have read theories that indicate my body is now too efficient at processing calories and I have lowered my metabolism to the point where it’s very difficult to lose weight.

I have tried a variety of diets from eating 600 calories a day to 1500 calories a day, different combinations of carb/fat/protein ratios, eating low calories one day/ high calories the next, etc.

Because I want to lose fat, not muscle, I have been trying to eat at least 80 grams of protein a day. This is a huge struggle for me as I do not care much for meat. I get to the point where if I have to eat one more bite of chicken or an egg, I’m going to barf. I would love to be able to meet my protein needs through vegetarian sources. I also feel that a vegetarian diet will protect me the most from cancer and other debilitating diseases.

My other challenge is time. With the amount of training I do, a full-time job and three teenagers, I have very little time for food prep. This is why I haven’t eaten more fruits and vegetables in the past. It takes so much time to decide what to make and prepare it. I believe the Easy Veggie Meal Plans will make this process faster and easier and allow me to reach my goals of losing fat, while helping prevent disease. I am very disciplined, I can stick to any diet, but I just haven’t found the right combination yet that works.

I’ve long had 75 pounds to lose and long struggled to eat healthier. Since college, “Would you like to supersize that?” is probably the question I’m most familiar with. As I struggle to keep my house in this economy, giving up cable, the Internet (thank goodness for wireless cafes and the library), unnecessary prescriptions, and my gym membership all within the last month to stay afloat (the only “extras” I spent on), I’ve also found I can no longer afford to eat junk.

I’ve always had a small veggie garden and belonged to a co-op that gives me a box of fresh, organic veggies every other week, but these items often went to waste, at best they made it to my plate as a small side dish. Now they’re often my only source of food.

So even though necessity has forced my hand, which I’m ever so thankful for, I still crave my old ways and fear that once things turn around I’ll head right back there. If, however, I knew how to prepare more than just salads or a simple plate of roasted veggies, I believe I’d be more inclined to stick with, to turn that corner and change my life once and for all. I’m on the cusp, I know your book can help me!

It takes a lot of my time to find nutrition guidelines and meal plans with healthy vegetarian recipes. I’ve been looking for the solution from various vegetarian weight loss diets, but I’m still been struggling to find the right vegetarian diet plan for me.

I’ve looked into vegetarian weight loss diets to find a good fitness diet when I need to squeeze couple of pounds or just as a basis for a healthy diet – but it’s hard to find even a decent vegetarian weight loss diet and with the ones I’ve found, there has always been problems in them, namely the diets making me lose all energy and and not provide enough options for an active girl like me who trains 4-7 times a week.

For me, Easy Veggie Meal Plans seems like *the* solution, because Kardena as a fitness professional knows what it takes to create a healthy veggie diet that is suitable for an active lifestyle and exercising nearly every day.

Dear Kardena,

I run my own bootcamp fitness business and do alot of my own weight and endurance training. I became vegetarian about 5 months ago, but I’m kindof a carb and sugar addict at times and would like to lose a few pounds without having those cravings. I’ve decided recently to add some fish back into my diet occasionally mainly because of the carb addiction. Ultimately I’m looking for a body-building vegetarian – vegan style diet to educate not only myself, but others as well. The impact that meat eating has on our environment is unbeleivable and I would like to educate others in how they can change some of their high protein meat meals to healthy vegetarian and vegan options.

Hi, Kardena!
I am a huge advocate for animals and animal rights/welfare and have been wanting to go on a vegetarian diet, but am afraid that I will put on alot of weight without the protein. Besides the torture and abuse that animals endure, I know that eating animal fat/protein isn’t good for me (or anybody else for that matter). I just turned 50 years old and am active, but it’s getting harder and harder to keep the weight off. I have tried eating more vegetables and fruits, but that is getting pretty boring and I’m eating the same things all the time. Since I am an avid cyclist, I need to be able to keep up my energy. I’m afraid that if I turn vegetarian, I will resort to pasta and bread (which I totally love!), and I will definitely put on more weight! I love your videos (and Craig’s, I have incorporated some of his workouts into mine). But I need more guidance with my diet for a healthier lifestyle, especially since I am a lousy cook and am not very creative!

Thank you for all you do for everyone!

Kardena,

From birth to through much of my youth I suffered from asthma and low immunity. While I have for the most part outgrown my asthma, I still easily catch colds, and have low energy reserves. I know much of this can be significantly changed or wholly eliminated by a change in diet. But the time of learning how to eat, what combinations of food groups should be used/avoided, what times are best to eat what, etc. are a bit challenging. So your materials will be of great help in simplifying things. I want to be the best that I can be spiritually, mentally, and physically for God and my fellowman. And I recognize that for this to be achieved I must alter what I eat…spiritually, mentally, and physically. I hope I am among the fortunate few to win a copy of your Easy Veggie Meal Plan.

Thank you for sharing your expertise and experience.

For the past 5 years I have been taking prescription medication for mild depression and anxiety. Lately I have gotten to thinking, training and eating right has always helped me to deal with challenges in my life so why should this be any different. After discussing with my doctor, I’ve phased off my medication and am now looking for new avenues of self help. Since nutrition is 80% of keeping fit, I’ve decided to tackle that first. I’m an animal lover and although I love a juicy steak once in a while, I have always felt eating animal meat is, for lack of a better word, gross. I have often considered going vegetarian but could not figure out how to consume the correct levels of protein to maintain my physique without eating chicken, beef, etc. I’m so excited to have found Kardena and Craig’s websites and am grateful for all of your guidance. I look forward to digging into Kardena’s new book (free or paid for 🙂 and starting a healthier lifestyle for me, my family and our planet. Many thanks and all the best – MM

As an newbie to the vegetarian lifestyle, I strongly believe that Easy Veggie Meal Plans would be a strong asset. My meals tend to be very simple and stay within a certain range of possibilties. The meal plans would be great assistance in keeping me on track and with plenty of variety to choose from! In my eyes variety is key. My first year at college, I roomed with three other vegetarians. Their dietary plan consisted of pasta, white bread, sweets such as candy and caloric fruit juices. While they boast their vegetarian lifestyle with pride, it saddened me to witness their poor choices and lack of education on nutrition. These were girls who constantly tried looking for the answers to lose weight, when really, losing weight vegetarian style can really be more simple. Not only will these meal plans motivate us with variety, but it will also educate us with good nutrition and beneficial choices. No more eating doughy, rolled up bread!

Dear Kardena,

I have been a vegetarian for 3 months and a vegan for half a month. The one and only reason I changed to a vegetarian diet was because I wanted to lose weight quick. And as we all know, meat contains the most fat of all foods. Therefore, I quit it. And to my surprise, I don’t miss it. Yes, when I smell it, I want to eat it. But I’m not craving it at all.

And since I have a pretty harsh goal (I want to have an athlete’s body with a 12% body fat), I stopped consuming oil, salt and all sort of condiments, just an occassional pinch of red chillies and cinnamon. And except my beans, rice and oatmeal is boiled, everything else I eat is raw, with no added condiments. THIS IS HOW SERIOUS I AM ABOUT MY GOAL.

Now I’m not a Personal Trainer nor am I a Nutrionist nor am I aspiring to be a professional athlete. I just want to have that sexy, slim body that all women dream about. And I’m willing to put in the effort, no matter in exercise or diet.

Therefore, if you could bring back the colors and flavors of my dull and boring diet and continue to lose weight, I would be indebted to you my whole life…

This year I began cutting meat out of my diet. Cutting back on eating meat is a feat in itself because of how I was raised. “You need to eat your meat.” “You need to finish your pasta.” “You cant be healthy without eating meat- it is where you get your protein.” “Why do you think it’s a part of the 4 food groups?”

I developed a milk allergy when I was a teenager which greatly reduced what I could and could not eat. People have been concerned about my health because they think I lack calcium. I was taking vitamins so I brushed off those concerns. Now that I was cutting meat out of my diet people thought I was being reckless in regards to my health. That rather confuses me, even today because I thought I was doing something that would be beneficial to my body and health.

Now I have a family of my own and I still have issues with meal time. My husband has colitis and his meals usually only consists of meat and bread, or meat and pasta, or pepperoni pizza and chicken wings. Luckily my son will eat cucumbers, carrots, bananas, and apples with me. He will eat a couple other things, but he still is timid on some other vegetables and fruits. This is where I think your book will help me. I don’t have any good veggie meal recipes. I grew up knowing the same couple recipes; baked/fried chicken, steak and potatoes, pasta with meat balls, etc. I don’t have a sweet little grandmother that cooked mainly vegetable based meals that I can go to and ask for the recipe.

I only know one person who is a vegetarian and he eats out most of the time and does not prepare his own food. Almost every time I tell someone I have decided not to eat meat, the person looks and me funny and they freak out. They tell me I will not have enough protein and that I will not be very healthy. My mother is worried still even though I have bought containers of protein drinks and take the recommended serving once every day.

I believe I could greatly benefit from your book, especially because I do not have anyone to turn to and ask for vegan or vegetarian recipes. I have bought a couple vegan/vegetarian books, but all the recipes are so complicated and when I attempt the recipes they do not turn out or taste right. Your book title is “Easy Veggie Meal Plans” and so I believe your recipes will be as easy as the title implies.

I am very thankful for the free information you have given us. Thank you for considering me as a candidate to receive your book.

Yours in Peace, Love & Respect
~Liz~

The Easy Veggie Meal Plans would be the perfect product to finally help me eat healthy and lose weight. A few years ago I lost over 150lbs. I did it all on my own, no trainer, no drugs, no surgery. Just dedication and committment. I really wanted it, and I didn’t let anything stop me.

I still have about 40 pounds to reach my goal. I already eat a lot of veggies, but want to switch completely to a vegetarian lifestyle. I know it’s a healthier way to live, but I’m doing it because of my conscience. I don’t know why you became a vegetarian, Kardena, but I do not want to live in this world knowing that I’m causing pain and suffering to any creature.

It’s difficult trying to make the right choices with limited knowledge. I need your veggie meal plans to help me make the right choices. I need guidance on how to be vegetarian, and your meal plans are just what I need! When I was losing that 150 pounds, I never asked for anyone’s help. But now I’m asking for yours. I think you are the last piece of the puzzle to finally help me change my life.

Thank you, Kardena!

Dear Kardena
It´s very difficult to try to stay fit and follow the advertise of all the gurus that are saying that basically you have to eat lean protein, healthy carbohidrtes and healthy fat, without having tons of turkey, chicken, eggs, etc, specially when you dont want to add red meat. I´ve also read that the way that the body uses protein comming from vegetables is not as effcient as the one caming from animals so, there´s a big dark zone were people like me that loves vegetables are struggling with all the recomendations and menus done to being fit, healthy and lean. It would be graet to have a plan desing to receibed the coreect amount of protein from vegetables and seeds withouth getting wings, for having so much chicken and turkey breast!!

As a trainer who is trying to get my clients to eat not just more veggies but to consider how they will help them on their quest to true health. Its not just the outside but the inside they are forgetting to address. They all say veggies are boring! Helpme show them they are not. I will even cook some of these receipes and show them they need this book as much as i do. we all need variations. myself included. Its not just animal protein and protein powder that they need to maintain their hard earned muscle. Also my older clients who dont eat enough protein will love having options. Thanks

HI:

I have never had meals without meat. My husband is a diabetic and really needs to find a way of eating to help him controll and possibly get off his meds. Both of us are now in our 50’s and really need to cut down or possibly totally out our meat products in our way of eating. I feel this way of eating would do the trick.

Thanks for listening.

I am an ex-athlete and am used to eating whatever I want without worry of weight or fat gain. As a 47 year old it is fanally catching up to me. And, since I cannot run anymore due to a sports related injury, weight gain is happening. I have never really believed in diets since mostly they are yo-yo programs (weight loss and inevitable weight gain)because of metabolism tinkering. I try to eat as healthy as I can, I try to exercise regularly, but the results are slow coming. I believe that Easy Veggie Meal Plans would be a simple program to implement because you have all the meals and recipies ready to go. And because the food is completely natural weight-loss is bound to happen. And even more importantly, you will feel better with more energy and be more healthy.

Hi Kardena,

I guess I wanted to let you know why I’m moving toward vegetarianism and hoping that this will help me finally lose the weight I really need to. I started a strength training program last year and have been really successful at: and to be honest I love it. However, I haven’t been able to lose the weight I think I should have by now and have tried diet after diet. When I read you meal plans I noticed how close they were to a mediterrean diet which my doctor has suggested. Trying to follow a diet without meal plans for me just isn’t working so I’m trying to incorporate your program into my life. My only problem is packing some of the food to work. As far as the vegetarian way…I almost there and I truly do find when I don’t eat meat and processed foods, how much better I feel. I really hope your program will bring back my energy and the body I know is just hidden a layer of fat. Thanks Shelley

The Easy Veggie Meal Plans would be the perfect product to finally help me and my family eat healthy and lose weight. My husband and I are both overweight. We have tried various diets or ways of eating and get no where quick. Our son has been vegetarian for the past 4 years. He does so well at it, it amazes me. The cost of food in general, the cost of meat, the way meat is processed and raised, even we have cut way back. But we haven’t managed to capture what we truly need to do, and we sure as heck haven’t succeeded in the weight loss department. Now it’s detrimental to our health. My husband recently had to stents to eradicate two blockages. We no longer have the benefit of time, we need to do something quickly to eliviate future problems. We need to correct years of bad eating and hopefully heal all the damage we’ve done to our bodies. We need to instill good eating patterns for the rest of the kids, so that they can start now on a way to a healthy lifestyle. It time for us to step up to the plate and make the necessary changes for our lives.

I have been struggling with weightloss since I was 12. My self-esteem has suffered since all of my family members my age are rail thin and make fun of me. Now I am 20 and in college with 15 pounds of extra fat to lose. I will be starting my senior year of college this August and I have been struggling for so many years to lose this weight once and for all. By graduation day, I want to look beautiful and have my self-esteem back. Graduating college is one of the biggest achievements in one’s life and I want to use these Vegetarian Meal Plans to help gain confidence for that day.

The reason why I need these meal plans is because I live at home with my parents who are extremely religious and want “Halal” meat. At “Halal” food places, you can’t specify you want 99% fat free turkey and half the time I have no idea what part of the chicken I am getting. I can’t bring non-halal meat into the house so I am forced to eat the food that they cook. Its full of unhealthy oil and they don’t want to change their life-style. Thus I am stuck and I have wanted to turn into a vegetarian but I need made up meal plans so that I can understand exactly how a vegetarian diet works and how to eat so that I fulfill all of my nutritional needs.

Thank you!

Hi Kardena,

My family is already primarily vegetarian, and has been for many years. My teenage daughter is a life-long vegetarian. I am a sporadic vegetarian due to significant travel. Lately, I have been trying to stay at motels with kitchens to allow my own food prep, as the meals out are counter-productive to the healthier eating at home and I tend to gain weight (and I am already significantly overweight).

The issue both at home and while traveling is meal prep. We use whole foods, prepared mostly from scratch and it is extremely time consuming. It interferes with the normal functioning of everyday life. And on the road, it needs to be quick meal prep to be feasible. We are at wits end and need to find ways to make being vegetarian (preferably vegan) practical and easy. I fear the alternatives.

In a nutshell for me it is not as much about developing healthier habits as maintaining good dietary practices. I think that the Easy Vege Meal Plans could help in a dramatic way.

Thank you.

One of the first items on my agenda is to review a few books that fit into my healthy lifestyle, including The End of Overeating by David Kessler and The Primal Blueprint by Mark Sisson. Like most my weight has been the chain around my neck for many, many years. Mentally it got even worse during the 28 years I spent in the military where I would have to get publicly weighed and tape measured for body fat twice a year in order to keep my job or be qualified to apply for special training. Now that I am retired it is good to not have that additional pressure but I believe the freedom to finally do what I want has appealed to my rebellious side and I’ve unfortunately put on an additional 25 pounds in the past five years. I’ve gone to weight loss spas, bought every book, tried most programs – but I haven’t found a workable LIFESTYLE. I feel like a prisoner to food and every slip from the regimen equals another 5 pounds. I travel for business every single week – so I’ve found every program unworkable in hotel / restaurant situations making me feel like a success only at being a failure. I believe being vegan is the healthiest way to eat and I know I FEEL fabulous when I adhere to veganism. I do best when every meal is laid out in a regular plan than just picking and choosing from cookbooks, etc.. I would really, really love to get this program and give it a whirl as I need something to help me turn myself around before I hit the 200 pound mark!

I am 55 and as I look at the ladies my age that I know I have come to the realization that if you don’t look after yourself, you really shouldn’t blame your age for that. I do not want to be one of those who says well I’m getting older so gaining weight is just part of the process. I find it difficult just to put together good veggie meals that really taste good as well. I want to be healthy as well as keep my family healthy. Having the Easy Veggie Meal Plans would definitely help get me really on track. I would like to lose at least another 10 -15 pounds and I am convinced with a good vegetarian diet I would be able to achieve this. My daughter is going through some really intense health challenges and my hope would be that teaching her how to cook healthy would improve her health dramatically.

I’ve been on a “diet” since I was 12 years old. At one point my parents thought it would be helpful for me to join Overeaters Anonymous. Imagine a 13 year old girl in a room full of middle aged or older men and women, trying to lose weight. The effect this had on my self esteem and self confidence was hugely negative. I’ve tried starving myself, joined Weight Watchers, joined and spent hours at the gym. I’ve been a vegetarian my whole life but I’ve been eating all the wrong foods.

I know my family will not change their lifestyles but I want to be healthier so I can enjoy life. I have nieces and nephews that I want to see grow up. I have started with the trial meals and they are great. I want to continue eating healthy and I know that breaking a lifetime of bad habits will take time. Having the Easy Veggie Meal Plans would be a tremendous help in keeping me on track as I work to regain not only a healthy body but also a healthy self image and confidence.

Thank you.

Hello kardena.
First of all I would like to be totally honest with you and with myself. My grandmother, my family always instilled me the benefits to eat healthily and how it can helps in my personal growth, intelligence, and good coverall health.

The biggest problem is that I never have listened to them, i always have been a life full of candies, junk food, highly sweetened drinks and chocolates, because i love chocolates… But as i grew up , i always saw tapeworm health problems, i alwasy got a flu every month, reason why i keep it sick constantly. In fact i must confess that i hated the exercise,i always was a skinny boy who maintained locked up in his room watching tv and playing videogames, this helped even more to my health got worse.

I can tell you that 5 months ago I began to train strongly in the gym, reason why i have lowered some of my weight and I have gained some muscles, I have put a very important goal, and is to have the perfect body which I have dreamed my whole life and the most important thing is that you feel great and pleasure with yourself, no matter what people says or do. I know it won’t be easy, but with Vince’s program and yours i will reach all my objectives.

I have to tell you that i always have hated vegetables, but i am arranged to change my nutritional habits by healthful ones that help me to lose weight and gain muscular mass, i also know…. well i don’t know exactly but i think vegetables and good food is so important to keep you healthy, so you can live for a long time. I am arranged to do all the necessary things to be successful in my goals but in a natural way, because I do not believe in supplements or things that deceive the people.
If your nutritional program can help me to fulfill my goals, then it would be a pleasure to me to begin with you and to continue eating naturally, now I understand the benefits of this type of meals, and that they will be helpful.
Thanks to listen to me and … sorry for my english, is not very perfect…

Hello, my name is Hendry, & i’m from Indonesia. Ever since i was diagnosed for a skin allergy about 4-5 years ago, i’ve become a lacto-ovo vegetarian because most of the food that contributes to my allergy is meat. I’m actually also allergic to dairy & egg, but since i don’t have a lot of knowledge on how to get more protein from a vegan diet, i just feel like i can’t let go dairy & egg, yet, since those two are the only protein sources i know. The thing is, it’s not easy to become a vegetarian here because there is so little information about vegan/vegetarian nutrition around. We do have some vegetarian restaurants, but almost all of them rely on imitation meat, which now i’ve also learned that it’s not healthy, either. For this reason, i just keep on consuming more & more unhealthy carbs, & ever since i’ve become a vegetarian, my weight just keeps on increasing. Well, i’ve learned to accept that being a vegetarian means being fat. I used to be so energetic & active as a person, & i was even once so proud about the shape of my muscle mass, but nowadays, i’ve given up on losing weight, & i feel tired all the time & de-motivated to even exercise. I don’t know if that’s the side effect of the bad eating style in the vegetarian diet that i’m doing. Well, the positive thing is, i kinda like being a vegetarian since i keep on learning about how healthy it is, & how good the effects can be on my body, even though i keep on experiencing the opposites. I realized that’s because of my little knowledge about the diet itself. I’ve done my research about plant nutrition, but other problem arises: i don’t know how to prepare, cook, or serve them. Also, all of the vegan/vegetarian books that i’ve read so far rely a lot on soy & peanuts as their protein sources. Well, that’s also a problem for me since i’m also allergic to soy & peanut. Besides, i think i’ve consumed too much of estrogen-inducing plant protein from tempeh & tofu, here, since those two are really cheap here. I’ve also learned that it’s not recommended to consume a lot of estrogen-inducing protein as a male. Here in Indonesia, we also don’t have hemp, white chia, etc. The only plant protein powder sold is soy. So, u can tell how desperate i am in learning & trying to achieve better knowledge in this diet. It seems like every thing is forbidding me to get enough protein in this diet. The irony is, Indonesia is very rich with its organic & natural nutrition source, & yet, i know nothing much about them, & that’s killing me. I got beans, & yet i don’t know how to cook it. We have a lot of brown rice, but i can’t just eat that all the time. When i learned about you saying that i can lose fat from a vegetarian diet, i was really enthusiastic. I thought to myself, finally something i can learn about this diet. & even better, this also teaches me on how to prepare it & to get enough protein for my body. So, i hope this time i can finally get some better knowledge. Thank you.

I have been vegan for 3 years and the hardest part in my weight loss is finding the right plan that will allow me to lose the weight, maintain the muscle, and eat vegan!
I weight train 3x week, trail run 2-3x week, yoga once a week, but I can’t seem to lose the weight. I’ve been plateaued for over a year and I’m frustrated.
I desperately need help to find the right balance between my vegan eating and my exercise to lose the weight!!
Can you help me? I was a little disappointed when the sample plan had dairy, does your plan allow for vegan diets?
Thanks for your time!

Dear Kardena: I truly believe that God answers prayer. For years I have been frustrated that we were being inundated with “weight loss” propaganda by pharmacutical companies and fitness experts claiming one solution or another to weight loss. Easy Veggie Meal Plans is the perfect product to finally help us eat healthy and lose weight because it appears to be modeled after the original LIFE diet as found in the HOLY BIBLE. As someone who has run the diet gamut from being a complete vegan to someone who has eaten almost 100% meat, I am in dire need of some diet assitance, LOL!

When I was a vegan, I weighed 150 pounds (I’m a male, 5′ 9″ tall) and had my co-workers asking me if I was anorexic. It was actually a vegetarian naturopath that got me to give up on vegatarianism because I was gaunt and unhealthy looking. He asked me “do you know what you are doing?” and I said, “yeah, I just don’t eat meat”. He gave me a few papers on vegetarian protein but he suggested that I, at least, add eggs and milk back into my diet. I immediately felt so much better that I gave up on vegetarianism altogether. The fact is, I had no idea what I was doing and was severely protein deficient.

After reading about you and Craig Ballantyne and other vegetarian athletes like Jon Hinds, Mike Mahler, and Pro-Bowl tight end Tony Gonzalez, I am learning that it is possible to be healthy and strong while being a vegetarian. Jon Hinds has also talked about how he had arthritic pain in his hands that went away after he went vegan. As a 43 year old who has been weight training for over 30 years and now has creaky joints, especially in my shoulders and knees, and a little extra around the middle, this may be the ticket that I need.

Thanks Kardena!

I am very interested in the Easy Veggie Meal Plans, especially since I heard that they would be vegan. You see, I’m allergic to dairy products. I have struggled with my weight since my teenage years. I turn 60 this year. A serious health situation prompted me to eat a vegan diet for over eleven years from age 40. Due to what can only be some kind of deficiency in the way I was eating vegan, I found myself with low energy and some other unpleasant symptoms, so I reintroduced clean meat into my diet. I found myself adding some unwanted pounds. I have done steady state cardio all my adult life. So, naturally, my solution to the added pounds was to increase my cardio! I went from 30 minutes a day up to 45 minutes a day, 6 days a week. When that showed no weight loss, I increased to 60 minutes a day! All I got was exhausted!!! Literally, I would do my workout and then drag myself around the rest of the day. Then I heard Craig Ballantyne say that high intensity intervals were the way to go. That plus weight-bearing exercise. In conjunction with the change in workouts, I also changed my eating. Most of the experts that I read recommend eating protein (meaning lots of animal products) at most of the six meals I eat a day now. To sum up, I love the way my body has shaped up under the high protein and eating meals in balanced proportions. But, I really don’t want to eat so much meat! I’d love a chance to learn how to plan balanced vegan meals so I could continue my weight loss without the overload of animal products. Thank you for the opportunity to eat healthier and have the best body of my life!

My biggest struggle is overeating. When something tastes good, I tend to continually eat it and, eat it fast. Before I know it, I am overfull. This has led to heart problems and blockages. I hope to get on a diet that is effective and will give me the discipline to eat the proper foods and the right amount at each sitting.

Also, I tend to find most of my protein in meat. This probably has led to some of the heart problems. I look forward to a diet that will restore my health.

Thank You!!

Easy Veggie Meal Plans!! Sounds great. I downloaded the free week of plans that was offered about 1 week ago and could see that eating vegitarian can be EASY!! I have been limiting my thinking – not starting to eat vegitarian due to it being an inconvenience, not getting enough nutrients, etc. I also really need to get myself off dairy too. I have a slight intolerance to it but wasn’t sure about substitutes. So I am really excited about the possibility of eating vegitarian and having it be easy and satisfying!!!! I recently have been doing some values work on myself and learned that my values include freedom and joyous self-expression. I am currently in school studying to be a life coach – more specifically a personal development coach. It’s my intention to help people live a life they love. In “walking my talk” I have decided that my freedom includes a vegitarian life style! I am excited about this and feel like I can better help people if I myself am in integrity with my own diet and body (hense the joyous self-expression part)! Thanks for the opportunity!

Hi, I’m not submitting this entry in for me but for my daughter. I signed up, downloaded your free meal plans and they are awesome. We love to cook and are always on the look out for easy/doable recepies. When you have it spelled out for you on what you need, how much, and how to it makes for planning your meals FUN!!! She wants to make sure her baby is getting the right stuff even before entering this world so that’s why I’d like to win this for her. It is something she can pass on to her new family.

Thanks for your consideration.

I was a vegetarian for about six years back in the 90’s, but had absolutely no idea what I was doing. I just used the simple equation – if it’s an animal, I can’t eat it – everything else is allowed. I’m thinking I was probably more unhealthy at that time than at any other time in my life.

Fast forward to 2009. I have since discovered the importance of a balanced diet and that protein has a place in the diet as well as carbs and fats. To get protein, I have always relied on animal sources because I don’t have the knowledge to make sensible vegetarian choices.

On my carnivourous diet I have become flabby and overweight and I yearn to free myself of this by eating sensible, tasty vegetarian meals. I even considered trying a aw diet, but I think I need to takeone step at a time. Having a plan that maps everything out for me would be fantastic!

I would be honored to try your Easy Veggie Meal Plans Deluxe package. Thanks for your consideration!

I have pretty much enjoyed good nutrition and working out once I got into my 20’s & saw the benefits of what I ate how I felt & the gym & results. Then I was introduced to alcohol & the world win of the sugars & the roller coaster began. After suffering of alcoholism I got sober & health & fitness became my only salvation. In the 2008 I left my job of 18 years for an internet marketing scam JUST the Reality of leaving the security I once new set me into a ton of old habits! I BROKE MY SOBRIETY, BEGAN TO EAT & SLEEP for all of 2008! I went from 218 – 173. Which is a lot of weight to gain in a year. MY friends were all stunned! went from a size 3 to 12 almost 14! Then I decided this was no working . I am into Cellular Healing and went to a Journey Seminar where I met so many people who were Vegan in November 2008 & wanted to adapt to the same life style and healthful – youthful people I had met. I took all the bad food out of my house & STOPPED DRINKING 🙂 just that alone I feel better. I have done fasts, eating every 2-3 hours – the gym & lastly Dax Moy’s elimination diet ( which I emailed him WHAT ABOUT VEGAN”S and just last week he sent me your info w/Craig. I am so grateful and feel HELP IS HERE!…. …..In the past year I have searched and read enough to know YOUR COMING IS WHAT THE WORLD OF VEGAN”S HAVE NEEDED!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!

In 1995 my blood pressure went out of sight and a doctor wanted to put me on medication. My wife and I were driving truck, team driving, eating in truck stops and never home. If you ever go into a truck stop restaurant you will know what I am talking about. They think that poor truck driver that sits sometimes for 11 hours straight behind the wheel needs a lot of food and greasy food too.
Anyway, we decided to chang. We stopped trucking for a year and stayed home. Lois learned to cook vegan and my blood pressure went down. We still eat basically no meat, I eat a little dairy products but most of our diet is vegan. We are 68 years old and neither of us takes any medication. I still truck part time and Lois is retired because of on the job injuries but is in good shape. Veggie is the only way to go and I have looked at some of your articles and love what you are doing.
Thanks for the chance to represent you on our websites.

Hi,
I have been a vegetarian working toward vegan for about a year and a half. I have trouble finding quick and easy meals that don’t have processed foods and junk food in them. One of my downfalls is cheese. There are too many quick and easy meals that it goes well with. I go in spurts with sugar too. I have been struggling with a large amount of excess weight that I haven’t been able to get off. I look for any help that I can get my hands on. Thank you for helping.

For the last three years, I have been on a journey back to health. It started with Lyme disease which lead to Candidiasis. My doc said I would only get healthy if I followed “the diet” which was basically a vegetarian diet. It was difficult to feed my meat-loving husband one meal and fix another meal for myself–but I did it–for my health.

Then, my son announced he had cancer–at 25 years of age! We learned about a juicing diet to cure cancer. Talk about monotony! The s-a-m-e thing every day! Well, both my son and I are now looking to find a healthy, vegetarian way to LIVE. Your book would be so helpful to bring variety and add that spice to our living!

I am very interested in the Easy Veggie Meal Plans. A few years ago I gained 30 pounds and went vegetarian and then vegan. When the last 10 pounds didn’t want to come off I knew I needed some changes so I joined a gym and started a serious exercise program. The problem I have has been my lack of knowledge on how to eat a healthy vegetarian/vegan diet. There always seems to be pressure at a gym to eat meat. I finally gave into that and although I did make some strength gains I have also felt sick, lack of energy, and some unwanted weight gain. I want to return to my vegetarian/vegan ways but I lack the knowledge to put together meal plans that will give me the nutrition balance that I need.

Thank You for giving us this opportunity.

About 5 years ago, I decided to to a triathlon. I was moderately active, but never thought of doing something like this. I worked out in the mornings, 6 days a week, doing a variety of things in preparation for this event. Physically, and mentally, I completed this — doing multiple triathlons thereafter — and had never felt better! I had a metabolism that rocked, but never did I abuse it, and my body and health were fabulous!! When my son entered 4th grade, something happened and I needed to make a decision — work out in the mornings, or stay with him. The decision was obvious, as my son is my world. I continued to try to maintain a healthy lifestyle, but also discovered that it was when tending to you child, the frig. is all too tempting, while the desire to work on any part of my body about as desirable as eating liver garnished with nails. (YUK!) Slowly but surely, I began to destroy all that I had achieved. Then, the “quick fixes” started to play a role… I could lose weight again, just by a pill…. Suddenly though, my great health started to take a decline, and my physical fitness plummeted. The only right decision I made was to be with my son when developmentally, he needed me the most. It’s wasn’t until about 6 mos. ago that I started taking a closer look at my food and activity choices, and try to learn again how to correct all that I have done wrong. My son is older now, and he wants me to go back to doing triathlons, this time, WITH him. I’ve done so much damage to myself that I know the road will be difficult… but what an inspiration… when he needed me most, I was there; and now that he wants me to be with him — I’m GOING to be there!

Thank you for running this contest, and even if I don’t win, please know that I have become hungry for the newsletters, the information, and the purpose to not kick in the bucket (… after eating all the ice cream out of it first!)

Hi Kardena,
I enjoyed your video with Mr. Ballantyne. I have been a raw vegan/vegan for over a year. I liked that a lot of what you said in the video pertained to my lifestyle of eating. I tend to go back n forth with the two. I would consider myself a vegan. I do not eat meat at all and on rare occasions will eat salmon.
I believe that your Easy Veggie Meal Plans would be great for me. As a single parent of 2 teenage boys I am constantly on the go. I will generally just throw some fruit and easy to carry veggies in my lunch sack and go go go. I believe that having meal plans to refer to on a daily basis would make my life less complicated assisting me with my nutritional intake of the right veggies everyday. I am the go to person at work to give ideas and recipes for healthy vegetarian meals, would love to be able to share my newfound knowledge. I would love to be able to use your Easy Veggie Meal Plans to serve to my kids on a daily basis. My life is so very active and busy this would really make it so much easier for me.
I would personally like to “thank you” for all your hard work in making your meal plans available to us. I know there are things on the internet that can be found but you have just made it that much easier for the people with busy lives.
God Bless

I love vegetables and have incorporated many of them daily in my diet. I have tried cooking them steamed, raw (salads), baked (in cassarole/pie) and drinks. My problem is variation in using the vegetables and getting my boyfriend to also appreciate and start loving vegetables as well.

i met a vegetarian in treatment and marveled at his eating habits and health (at least physical). He ran everyday and always had the energy to do so. i on the other hand was still in my meat and potatoes (mostly meat) stage and dreaded exercise. Watching him and listening to his nutrition stories was a contrast to what i thought a vegetarian ate. I just couldn’t imagine eating a salad all the time – since i am one of those people that “has a little salad with my dressing”. i am over weight (no surprise) but i have changed some habits and i am really watching what i eat – and i really want to eat healthier and have more energy. i can’t wait to put your Veggie plan into practice.

I discovered 2 years ago that I inherited high cholesterol, which was shocking and disappointing to discover being 33 years old. I’ve been determined to lower my levels through diet and exercise. After trying several dietary plans, I concluded the most effective way to lower my cholesterol was to avoid animal products. Therefore, I decided to switch to a vegan diet 3 months ago. This wasn’t too big of a leap for me; I was already eating a diet high in fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, and lean proteins. I’m in decent physical shape, exercising vigorously 3-5 times a week and having a body fat percentage in the single digits. A recent blood draw showed my cholesterol and LDL levels were down 15% by following my vegan diet! Unfortunately, I also learned my Hematocrit and Hemeglobin levels were down, showing a mild anemia. Although I did not notice any symptoms and feel great, I was concerned and a bit frustrated since I track my intake very closely and tried to ensure I was receiving all of the essential vitamins and minerals. My protein levels were excellent, but they did not measure my iron, folate, or B 12 levels. I felt it would be best to focus on getting my nutrients from food rather than relying on supplements, and I considered consulting a dietician. I’m confident that your meal plans would provide a well rounded diet with all of the protein and essential vitamins and minerals I would require. I’m committed to remaining a vegan and feel it is a sustainable diet that I can follow for the remainder of my life. I just need a bit more guidance and education to ensure I’m consuming a fully balanced vegan meal plan.

1> I have been a vegetarian for my whole life. So I need to know a meal plan which will help me achieve my goal of 10 % body fat (I am at 14%). Being a vegetarian, I have struggled to find a plan which will give me a good source of protein consistently for all meal.

2> I believe in Craig, I have used his training program and come from 20% to 14% body fat. So if he is going to endorse a meal plan, I am sure I will follow it, like it and achieve my desired goals

I graduated from college in 1998 & have steadily put on weight, topping out at 250 pounds. I have been yo-yo dieting & am ready to get off that yo-yo! I have managed to lose 30 pounds over the past year & half, but I need a push to get me going again. I have never been a big meat eater & love vegetarian food, but old habits, especially eating habits, are hard to break. I am looking forward to the release of Easy Veggie Meal Plans so I can see how easy being veggie can be!

Dear Kardena,
I am very excited! Because I have finally experienced success with Craig Ballantynes’s Turbulence Training Program and your meal plans would be the “tofu icing on the whole wheat carrot cake!” Just kidding, but, I got “introduced to your website” by being a faithful follower of Craig’s TT Fatloss website for the past 4 months. I am a physical educator and health educator and I still struggled with the weight. I was a “cardio queen” and never got the results I wanted. I finally got out of my comfort zone and started TT Training and also Brad Pilon’s Eat Stop Eat with great success and I love doing TT training and Eat Stop Eat.
First of all, I feel so relieved to have experienced success without having to work out 1-2 hours a day and getting more and better results with TT training. I have lost 15 pounds with the combo of Turbulence Training and Eat Stop Eat and I know I will reach my goal of 10 more pounds.
I love TT training (thanks Craig for all your info on your website!) and I love Eat Stop Eat. (thanks Brad!) When I do Eat Stop Eat, I feel liberated and in total understanding of my personal nutritional needs… you can almost feel the fat burning off.
Which brings me to your vegetarian meal plans. I feel like because of my 2 on going successes with TT training and Eat Stop Eat, your meal plans would put my eating habits in the right direction. I have been tweaking my diet to be more meat free and veggie and fruit based, but I need quidance and a plan. As a health educator I have been intrigued and interested in a vegetarian diet. I would be so grateful and excited to get a copy of the meal plans and the program. It would be a perfect addition to my health and fitness goals and another blessing in my life. Thanks so much for this opportunity!
Excited and Hopeful,
Melanie

My husband and I will be 49 this year and have been dealing with the excess flab and health issues that come from years of not paying as much attention to our diet as we could have over our 30 yrs of marriage!
We are committed to becoming the fittest we can be this year! I have app. 30 lbs. to lose, but I am more concerned with the long-term health benefits, inflammation-reducing, energy-building, etc.
We want to be the youngest looking, fittest grandparents out there!
(I have 3 grandsons to keep up with!)

We have always had lots of fruit and veggies in our daily meal plans, but have also been big meat-eaters. We also were eating too many starchy carbs and pastas with rich sauces, cheese and breads.

I have been trying to overhaul our diet and eat more vegetarian meal per week, but I’m not finding it easy to make the switch and find recipes that my husband finds filling and tasty. He and I love cooking and trying new things but we simply don’t understand how to put a balanced vegetarian meal together! It’s a whole new way of cooking! We need help!

I buy the beans, seeds and grains, but I don’t understand what to do with them! I am very interested in learning more about the details of vegetarian nutrition and all the health benefits from these foods.
I would eventually like to become a trainer/nutrition consultant and help other women my age get thru menopause and look and feel fitter, healthier than ever!
I have lost 8 lbs. so far, but still have 20 lbs. or more to go!
I have a pretty good handle on the exercise/training program, but I really want to have a top-notch nutrition plan, not only for getting rid of the excess belly flab, but to become the healthiest I can be!
I want to live long enough and feel energetic and strong enough to take my grandsons hiking and skiing and have them try to keep up with me!
I have taken before pics. and would send you my results and testimonial when I have accomplished my goals!
So please consider sending me a free copy of your program! I would forever be grateful!
I am on the road to good health, but need a map to get there!
I know your program is one of the best out there and I really want to learn all about it!
Thanks for your consideration.

I love to cook for my family and enjoy all of the lovely foods that are available to us daily, unfortunately it has not helped keep weight off or lose weight for many of us. We are a family of six. Myself, I need to lose about 20-30lbs to get to the right bmi, my husband goes up and down depending on his lifting…but either way the red meat has got to go. I have two boys and two girls…and only one of them is high energy and can’t seem to gain a pound. The rest of us constantly struggle being at least 20-30 lbs overweight. When trying to raise children with a healthy mindset about body composition, it’s hard especially when food seems to take over. Personally, I tried Jenny Craig – it was a great tool to teach me proper portions, however it’s not something I could afford to continue. In the meantime, my husband and I decided to start a garden. This has helped tremendously! We’ve decreased our needs for pastas and rice and are instead eating more vegetables dishes as sides. The kids have been open to trying more vegetables since they help care for them as they grow. It will be nice to have a guide teach me more options on how to incorporate more vegetables into our diet. Three of my children are in high school, 2 of them are very self conscious about their weight, this may be the help we need to change our habits, increase self awareness and create a more positive self image. Guidance is an amazing gift that someone can give. I thank you for taking the time to create such a book, I know I can really use the help. Thanks.

Hi
I am a 33 year old male married and father of 2 boys. I have been trying to find the best info on the internet about working out and eating right. Its always the eating part I have trouble with, everyone wants you to purchase meal plans which I just dont have the money for. We live on a very tight budget and I just can’t afford to spend any more outside of what I do have budgeted. We try to eat healthy and my wife would really love to go meatless on us. I think we are still making mistakes about what we do choose to eat and what we believe are “good choices”. I hope you do choose us for the free meal plans, we would greatly appreciate the guidance in losing some of this excess baggage and getting our boys on the right track!

I would love an easy way to transition to eating more healthily.
I am a full time student, with little time to plan meals. I also lost my job over a year ago, and would love some more ideas for vegetarian meals that cost less than meat.
I love fruits and vegetables, but easily get stuck in a rut of eating the same thing over and over again.
I have a great workout plan that I follow (TT) but know that I don’t see the results that I could if I ate a little better. I’ve been trying to lose the last 5-10 pounds for a really long time, and am sure that it’s diet related.
Thanks for considering me for the free meals!!

Thanks for the opportunity for a chance to win your meal program, Kardena. I have the last 10 – 12 pounds to lose. I’ve used weight watchers in the past – was even a leader for several years – so I should know how to do this. I exercise regularly, alternating several exercise program routines to keep me in shape. I’ve been tending toward a vegitarian diet, as am not found of meat, although I do enjoy seafood on occassion. Our son & his partners live with us and are vegan, so I’m getting some ideas from them. But I would like the real guidance to know how to combine foods for full nutritional value. Sometimes what they eat doesn’t seem health to me and I would really like to know the correct way to combine foods for the most benefit. If I can get on track and my husband sees how well it works, then perhaps I can get him on board to try it with me, since doing it as a couple works best. We’ve tried some of your free ideas and do appreciate them, and your list of what to avoid it GREAT! Thanks so much for the offer. katie

Hello Kardena
NO HORROR STORY HERE. Is this a contest for the worst cases? I won’t make you feel sorry for me.

My body has been around for a little more than 57 years. I have managed to keep close to or actually at an ideal weight. I have had my ups and downs but no extremes. You know as well as I that “Easy Veggie Meal Plans” is not a miracle cure. Most of the people writing probably could get to a healthy weight if they reduced their calories, especially sugar and refined carbs, but will they? Maybe your book will inspire many to adopt a new healthy lifestyle for good. I HOPE SO!!!

Your book has the potential to show people how to reduce/eliminate meat from their diets which not only is a good idea, but is also a budding health trend. Thanks for contributing.

I would be happy to read, try, and review your book and link if I feel that it will help.

Good LUCK

Matthias

Hi there,
Find your website while searching for healthy meal plan. I’ve put on about 55 pounds in the last couple years and lately found out I have thyroid problem. I am very active I walk about anywhere between to 10-15 mils a week. But I need to increase my knowledge about healthy eating. I just need to make better choice for myself and my family. As my children don’t like school lunch so I always struggle to find healthy and something that satisfy them for lunch as they becoming teenager. Yesterday as I was shopping at Traders Joe I see the Hemp protein shake and telling my hubby about I heard about it. But didn’t totally remember as you said we should put that in shake or not.
I am thankful to you for writing the book. I am sure it will help me better understanding of what to eat. Increase my knowledge of veggie to get healthy me and my family. And again thanks for all the knowledge you providing us through your site and blogs.

Hello Kardena,

Many years ago I lived with a house full of vegetarians. As time went on I found that they weren’t true vegetarians because they cheated with fries in animal grease etc. But I still made that change as a challenge to myself. During that period of time I lost alot of weight. I only ate salads or versions of dishes I would normally eat with meat minua the meat. After awhile I stopped that diet because it got boring.

At this time in my life I want to make some changes. I just turned 43 and for some reason this year is just a turning point to me in many things that I am encountering in my life. I must admit I am not sure I want to be a vegetarian for life because of my lack of knowledge of how to spice up the menu but if I found a program that had such an angle I am pretty sure I wouldn’t look back. That’s why I need the opportunity to have your plan! Because the proof is when you can convert someone who truly loves steak!! lmao

Have a good one and hope to hear from you soon!

My wife and I have been vegetarians for almost three years. I like to think that we decided this path for all the right reasons (spiritual, emotional, logical and physical). The one thing we quickly learned was that cooking vegetarian meals meant a LOT more time in the kitchen and at the food store. Fortunately, my wife is a stay at home mom so I don’t have to do much cooking 🙂
As novice vegetarians, we are always concerned that our diets are lacking in the proper nutrients that we and our two children need every day. Having a easy meal plan would give us the confidence that our diets would be complete from a nutritional standpoint and would give my wife more time to spend with our children and less time cooking for them.

I would so love to win a copy of this program! I feel like I’m at my wit’s end and need to reteach myself how to eat. I’ve gained at least 10 pounds in the last 6-8 weeks and I’d like to blame it on my thyroid, genes, and any other host of popular excuses but I know it’s my own fault because I’m eating too much and too much of the wrong foods.

When it comes to eating, I need a strong plan but it’s very difficult to do that on my own. I’m not much of a cook so even choosing 7 dinner recipes each week for my family (my basic idea of meal planning) takes forever. Having the meal plans ready for me to simply look at without thinking too much about it would be a godsend!

I’m very new to this way of thinking and living but I know I need to make some changes. I just turned 40 last year and I don’t want to be the frumpy round 40-ish mom who looks like she’s so much older.

Thanks SO much for this opportunity.

As a 40 yr old woman who had never even given any kind of vegetarian diet or lifestyle a minute of thought, even though I have struggled with weight issues for over 20 years, I must say you and others are opening my eyes. I was always of the belief that I had to eat enough protein (translated: mostly meat, eggs and fish) every day otherwise I would get a migraine. It was not until this past April when I was in a terrible motorcycle accident that fractured my arm and tore rotator cuffs on both shoulders that I have been made aware of how eating the way you recommend is helping. I started working with my primary care doctor to lose weight back in October of last year as I was considering Lap-Band surgery, and my insurance insisted that I work with my doctor for 6 months before they would authorize/approve the surgery. I have also been counseling with the Lap-Band doctor’s nutritionist once a month. I had made small changes and saw small progress on the scale, and was getting very frustrated but still managed to lose some weight, and even my husband joined in the weight loss effort with me. After the accident, when my fractured arm was not healing correctly and my orthopedic surgeon wanted to put me on a bone stimulator machine, which would cost $4000, a friend suggested something better: eat no animal products, no carbonated drinks, and take some herbs that she recommended to promote bone growth. After just two weeks, bone started growing and weight has started to come off both me and my husband! I am now a believer! My husband, who used to make fun of people who ate like this, is now a believer! I get to tease him about this!
The best part was while searching on-line for recipes, I found your and Craig’s websites. WOW! I want to embrace this lifestyle like never before. This book will help get me there and help me make meals for my husband and 11 yr old daughter that will be healthy and nutritious and hopefully help the weight finally come off so I do not have to have Lapband surgery. I also want to teach my daughter a more nutritious way to eat for the rest of her life. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I eliminated red meat from my diet years ago and vegetable are the basis of my daily meals. However, it is important to know how to combine them and how to vary so as not to get tired of eating always the same. On the other hand, the indications you give will help not only me, but also my husband reduce and maintain weight.
Up to now you have help me a lot in selecting healthy food.

Hi,

I am a busy mom who works fulltime and takes care of my children and a house. I have gained a lot of weight in the past ten years. I recently had a health scare where my blood pressure shot up and I had chest pains and panic attacks. I started a very tough exercise program and this has relieved a lot of stress, but I didn’t like the diet that came with the program.

I think meal plans are the way to go for me, due to undereating and overcompensating that I tend to do. These veggie meal plans are appealing to me I have been trying to go all raw the past few months but keep falling off the bandwagon. I want to do this program because it seems do-able for where I am at. I have so much weight to lose and I need the structure so I can function in my busy life. Thank you for writing this program!

Hi:

I have been a vegetarian for about 13 years. Initially, my diet consisted primarily of carbohydrates and dairy. As I began to be more conscious of eating low fat the percentage of carbohydrates in my diet increased dramatically. Now I am working to eat a more balanced vegetarian diet, and lower my carbohydrate intake. I’m running out of ideas for things to eat. Especially since my teenage daughter is also a vegetarian and is developing less than healthy vegetarian eating habits.

Hi: One day, here at my house I was thinking how can I eat better, not that I am eating bad. But I went to my computer, I open a website and saw a message from a trainer, and tells me about your Veggie diet. So I open and there it is, how to be healthy. But here I am thinking, I been all my life thin, even in my Teens and now that I am 51 years old and I still weigh 115 pounds. Not that I am a good eater,us skinny people have problem to, am concern about the foods we are eating now a day because everything is so easy to cook. And we are not concern about our health, we don’t care reading the labels, don’t understand them or just in a rush to buy what ever we need to eat. I thank GOD for you because you been the one person to help us out, teaching us how to eat. You are inspiration for all of us. Thank you so much for your information……..GOD BLESS YOU…

As a 47 year old professional juggler, with a very physical show, being healthy and functioning well is very important to my ability to provide for my family. When I hit my 40s and realized that genetics weren’t going to be enough anymore. I started learning, being more intentional about and actually having an exercise routine and I have that well under control. However, well my diet has improved, it is sporadic. And with no else in the house on the same page in regards to healthy eating, it makes it difficult to stay on track. Consequently I give in to the temptations around me far to often.

Having the meal plans would help me keep focus. My current plan is nothing more than “eating better” and It would be much easier to stay strong in those weak moments when I’ve decided what to do before hand (the plan). I also hope I can influence my wife and kids by my example.

On a side note my Dad died at 54 (Cancer) his dad at 42 (heart attack) and I want to do all I can to be around for, not only my kids, but my future grandkids as my Dad and Grandpa both died before any of theirs were born.

Hi,

I’ve spent years reading through diet books and health books, and have wanted to be a vegetarian for years. I was successful with it for a little less than a year in ’05, but couldn’t get my family to join me and finally gave back into their meat-eating ways.

Recently, I’ve been able to get my husband to eat vegetables that are actually green and my kids to eat some besides potatoes! But I haven’t been able to transition us as a family to vegetarianism mostly b/c I need help with meal planning and recipes that will appeal to us all.

I have carried around my baby fat for years, and my youngest is now four. Just within the past few months, I have begun hitting the gym regularly and starting to ease meat out of my diet again. I would be honored to receive Kardena’s plans to help me transition my entire family to a sustainable, healthy, plant-based diet.

My oldest child, in particular, would benefit greatly from this, as she has severe constipation requiring daily medication. I know that a higher fiber diet would help her stay more regular and “cleaned out” but it has been difficult knowing how to meal plan for kids without the traditional meat stand-bys that I grew up with.

Thank you for your incredible promotion – it’s great in economic times like these. But I think it is fantastic that you are doing this at all! A vegetarian diet is so over-looked in the fitness industry today. So many books and fitness professionals promote getting the right amounts of protein and carbs, but so few talk about how to achieve these goals on a vegetarian diet without resorting to one or two basic meals that get old after the first few weeks.

Thanks to you both for filling in this gap with some great information. I hope to have the chance to read it!

Christine

My husband’s blood pressure is through the roof and the doctor said if it’s not down by his next appointment he will have to go on medication. I know I need to cook differently to help with his health, but don’t really know where to start. A meal plan would help so much.

After living a vegetarian lifestyle for 4 years while in college, I made the decision to leave the sunny state of California, where produce is superb and vegetarian options unlimited, to the glorious south. I have loved living here, and the people I’ve met, but honestly, I miss the freshness and quality of the produce grown in California! Lets just say I was quite spoiled.

I have just recently made the decision to go back to vegetarianism not only to help lean up my body, but to feel better about myself. I look forward to reading through your collection of recipes and tips not only to learn about how to make “OK” produce taste fantastic, but refresh and replenish my motivation for living a meat-free life-style.

Thank you for all you do!

Hi Kardena,

I was so excited to find your blog, and even more excited to discover your meal plans. I tried a vegan diet for about a month in 2007. I went straight from the SAD diet to a vegan one because I felt if I simply went vegetarian that I would rely on cheese and dairy products too much. I could happily eat cereal and milk for months but just as your report recommends – this is not a healthy route to take. More recently, I’ve been eating a whole foods diet that is mainly high protein and lower carb. I’ve been finding it difficult to get high levels of protein since I only eat small amounts of meat. I believe I could go vegan quite easily but I need a little guidance to go about it the healthiest way possible. There are a lot of vegetarian and vegan plans out there that are not much better than the typical SAD diet. But your plans are different! I love that the emphasis is on RAW food. So, this is where I believe your meal plans help me reach my goal of eating the most nutritious diet possible. They would be an extremely helpful learning tool to take me through the transition until eating vegan becomes a habit…and finally a lifestyle. Thanks for putting together such a great resource!

Hello,

Thank you for this opportunity and support. This past December I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and had half my thyroid removed. Now I am on synthroid and have gained over thirty pounds in seven months. None of my clothes fit. In addition, my sugar levels are high to the point of being called ‘prediabetic’. I have been healthy all of my life and this is a new experience for me. So, I have great concerns regarding my health and really need help to loose weight and regain my health. My doctor has suggested a vegetarian diet, but frankly I do not know where to begin. I would love to be apart of a new vegetarian program that could help me know what to eat daily and keep me motivated by success! Thank you for your kind consideration in this contest!

Dear Kardena and Craig,

I’ve been a vegetarian for years but the past year or so I really got into exercise and nutrition. I’ve found lots of great exercise advice (yes I lift and do HIIT!!) but I’ve had a really hard time finding nutrition advice that’s easy for me to apply. It’s all chicken breast and cottage cheese and I don’t know how to convert it so that it fits my vegetarian diet. I eat fresh, healthy food but I still find it frustrating and difficult to even know how to get the right blend of macronutrients. How do I deal with beans when they are considered a protein and a carb? Am I getting enough protein? Am I eating too many carbs? Am I getting enough healthy fat? Are veggie sources of fat enough or do I really have to take fish oil? It doesn’t help that most vegetarian literature and exercise/nutrition literature don’t really agree. I’ve read so many veggie books/articles that say everyone is eating too much protein. Then I read something on Figure Athlete that’s all about making sure you are getting enough protein. That sound? That’s my head spinning.

I am so excited that the two of you have come together and created a meal plan for us veggies. Can’t wait to read it!!

I am currently trying to lose weight, keep my blood sugar level under control as well as my LDL level. I am also working out 3 times a week trying to build muscle to facilitate this. I recently started eating Vegan, but it is difficult to figure out what to eat to get the required protein to help build muscle. I am hoping that the “Easy Veggie Meal Plans” will help me in this, as well as greatly increase compliance by the sheer fact that meals can be planned a week in advance.

Thanks – looking forward to getting your e-book, free or otherwise!

Kardena and Craig,

I am so excited Vince sent me the link to your site!!

I have been a pesco/vegetarian for 20 years, mostly vegan now but have yet to find a diet for me and my goals. I want to be in fitness model shape! My current veg diet isn’t working and I fear I am eating hidden fats especially after watching your videos. I think that because I don’t eat fast food, junk food or deserts I am doing the right thing, but I can’t seem to loose the last 10 pounds. It is so frustrating because of the diets for fitness models are meat based!

I know I am on the right track with my fitness but I am at such a loss with my diet and need help. I would greatly appreciate a copy of the Easy Veggie Meal Plan so I can reach my goal of being a vegetarian fitness model:)

The Easy Veggie Meal Plan is just what I have been searching for. I just started to eat vegan for a few months and only recently started a part raw vegan diet. I have been astonished at the amount of avocados and nuts that raw dieters eat. I found that I’m now gaining weight due to all these fatty foods that I now eat. Because of this, I started researching more and more on the raw vegan diet and came across Kardena’s site. This looks to be exactly what I have been looking for and I am so excited for the Easy Veggie Meal Plan! I have already learned a few things from this site and am eager to get started on the Easy Veggie Meal Plan. Thank you, Kardena, for the unbelievable service you are doing for not only vegans but everyone who wants to enjoy a more healthy life.

After reading “The Omnivore’s Dilemma” two years ago, a switch went off in my head, and I stopped eating meat, just like that. As a result, I’ve created a vegetarian diet on my own through trial and error and hours online and in the bookstore, but the weight still isn’t coming off. The meal plans are the missing piece I’ve been waiting for.

I want to thank Craig and Kardena so much for the meal plans you are creating and have already shared. I have been a vegetarian all my life and a vegan for the last six years. I’m 52 years old and since entering menopause have been struggling with weight issues. For me the issue as a full time teacher and single mom assisting my three university aged children, the financial pressure can get overwhelming. I am learning through yoga and meditation how to better handle the stress and hopefully lower my cortisol level so that my body won’t hold on to fat.
My battle is menu planning time is limited and being a “lazy” cook doesn’t help. Winning the “Easy Veggie Meal Plans” would be great as I work on getting rid of those last stubborn 15 pounds to my goal weight.

Kardena’s tips like soaking almonds overnight to free up their full nutritional value and make them more digestible are pure gold. I have an overly sensitive system and her bank of knowledge for vegans is a rare find!

Thanks for sharing!

As a trainer and coach as well as an athlete I know the advantages of a healthy vegetarian lifestyle. I can help others by sharing with them my own experiences with how following the simple rules we have all heard for many years, ” eat your fruits and vegetables” is really the best way to live a healthy active life. Pills, powders and promises will never eliminate many of the health issues we all face. Keep it simple!

I came in here today because I have been enjoying the email information I’ve received already from your site via Craig’s. I was intrigued by the idea of complete meal plans; what could be easier than that? Heaven knows I struggle with creativity and imagination in the kitchen, especially around vegetarian meals. Variety that includes balance is SO hard for me to work out. Did you ever read the book titled “Diet For A Small Planet?” This was the work that turned my world view upside down when it came to food production and consumption. Veggies as the focal point of a diet? A switch that eases my social conscience and helps make me healthier? It was just what I was looking for – until the boredom with and stagnation in my meal plans sent me and my hubby searching for help.
And I found this. I have two hopes for this plan; first, that they brighten up our rather dreary meals and second, that they help lighten up both of our bodies along the way.

I know from past experience that following a vegetarian lifestyle, especially a raw diet, improves how I feel. My joints ache less and I generally feel better when I eat this way. Unfortunately, I find it difficult to put together good, healthy, vegetarian meals so it’s easier to go back to eating the way I usually do. With meals planned out for me, I feel like I’ll be able to stick with the program and finally get rid of all this weight I’ve been hanging on to for the last few years.

I have been struggling with foods & dieting for all but the 1st 10 yrs of my life & that IS a long time, too long to remember. Since I have allergies, asthma, diabetes, AF, neck problems, I am unable to do any jarring exercise or exercise that puts strain on my neck. My Clinical Nutritionist has me on diet drinks (which I know U Kardena & Craig would absolutely ban).

I’m not happy with the drinks when I really love vegies & fruit. The medicines I’ve taken during my life have also helped pile the weight on.

The ‘easy veggie meal plans’ will probably help a lot, as a 2.5 mile walk every a day is not working & my weight has platformed at the moment, still with at least 5 stones to go.

Why I need to win a free copy of the plan:
1. It will boost my self esteem that I was actually good enough to win something
2. When it is free, I make doubly sure I will definitely use it daily
3. The end result will be worth the change over, because that is what it will be for me.
4 I know I will live a healthier life style, asI at last have guidelines to go by and stick to it.
5.I cannot afford to buy anything on line as it doubles in price due to exchange rate.

I would love experimenting with becoming a vegan. I have many books on this, but I keep getting confusing information i.e. plant protein is not complete or you can’t build muscle on plant protein. I resent the daunting task of preparing meat for all my meals and snacks, I can’t eat dairy and don’t want to. There is times when I am really disgusted by eating all the meat protein. I believe that I would truly have more enery if I were eating more plant foods. I feel so sluggish all the time and feel at this time that I need someone to walk me through this process and I am hoping that with the meal plans already set out for me I can do this in a healthy balanced manor. I look forward to getting back my energy and hope to loose 30 lbs.

I am really looking forward to using your Easy Veggie Meal Plans. I love vegitarian food, but have always found it difficult to plan meals given my dietary constraints. I cannot eat gluten. I have also been warned about staying away from soy due to my thyroid problems. This has put me in a real bind in trying to find enough protein in a veggie diet that will help me maintain energy, lose weight, and build muscle. I have great hopes that your menus will provide me with real solutions and a variety of eatting options that I haven’t been able to come up with for myself. Thanks so much!

Throughout my childhood and teen years I have always been active. I was in gymnastics, played volleyball, basketball, ran track, roller skated….and anything else that seemed athlethic and fun! My father and mother supported everything that my twin sister and I did. I was always in good shape and good health and could eat whatever I wanted without ever worring about gaining weight.

After high school I was in a very bad car accident and that ended my athlethisim but I was always still able to maintain my weight. In my mid 20’s I decided to go back to college and tried to play sports again but I was always in pain….that’s when I decided to be a massage therapist. From there I studied holistic wellness and nutrition and tried very hard to stay in shape and keep my weight under control but it was a struggle.

Once I got into my 30’s….everything I knew went out the window! My metablism slowed down and my weight soared up. Also moving from health concious, tree hugging Berkeley, Ca to the Beef loving, one of “america’s fattest cities”, Houston, Tx didn’t help either!! mmmmm…curse those fat laddened, calorie smothered, good ol’ southern cooking!! As you can imagine, with the weight came other health issues, fatigue, and sincere worrying about what my future holds.

You see….my father passed away in 2000 suddenly from prostate cancer, my identical twin sister had orvian cancer (which she caught early), my aunt died this year suddenly from cancer, my uncle was diagnoised in Febuary with stage 4 lung cancer, and my mother is here in Houston with me getting treated at MD Anderson Cancer Center…she is fighting for her life from liver cancer. So as you can see….cancer is VERY prevalent in my family and I have much to be worried about!

My main concern is my mother right now who is undergoing chemo. I have sought out several holistic methods to helping to fight against the cancer and diet was the number one resource I could find! Not just changing her diet and eating habits but her whole way of thinking and lifestyle! Unfortunatly it wasn’t hard to get my mother to adopt a healther diet…the chemo had destroyed her taste buds and my aunt has an extensive garden, in which she grows everything free from pesticides. We strive to make sure everything my mom eats is purified, organic and not processed but coming up with different meal ideas gets tough.

I believe that with the right diet…a vegan diet?…will not only help my mother gain the health and energy she needs to fight this cancer but it will also help me to prevent the same fate that all of my other family members have contracted all the while helping me to achieve a healthy weight, more energy and a brighter future!

So I hope that once you’ve read my story you pick me….I will definalty put what I get from you to good use!!

I have tried SO many things since I was about 14 years old, including starvation, low fat, low carb, macrobiotics and every other diet plan under the sun (including if I think way back- Fit for Life, The Beverly Hills Diet and so on). But the older I get nutrition and balance just make more sense.
I haven’t been fat as such, but am always looking for ways to be the best I can be. I work out at least 5 times a week and am really interested to see if Kardena’s veggie diet can take me to where I want to be!
I have just arrived at a place where I feel it would be good for me to give up meat (I can certainly live without it), and after all, if I had to go out and kill the animal myself to eat it I just wouldn’t.
Your plans seem really exciting and I just can’t wait to trial them and see the fabulous results!

I’ve been vegetarian for over 20 years now. Some assume that a vegetarian diet is automatically a healthy one but of course that’s untrue. There’s plenty of junk to eat that’s veggie. I train regularly and have had some success with cutting body fat. My concern is using too much whey. I often have discomfort in the gut after using it. I could really use help in finding alternative protein rich meals. I’m also keen to hear your advice as to how much protein is needed to build muscle.

Hi Kardena,

I have experimented with quite a number of diets in the past spanning across the whole spectrum of macronutrient proportions such as low carb, high carb, low fat, high fat, low protein, high protein etc.

From my experience, I find that I obtain the best results (weight loss, energy levels, skin and hair quality) from a raw vegan diet.

However, I have great difficulty in sustaining the diet because it’s challenging to come up with a wide variety of raw vegan foods and recipes and I get tired of constantly eating the same foods.

I’m hoping that with your Easy Veggie Meal Plans, I can be more creative and have more variety in my choice of foods and therefore make it much easier to sustain the diet for life.

I think it will be so much more fun and exciting following your Easy Veggie Meal Plans.

I will be really glad if I can get a free copy of your Easy Veggie Meal Plans.

Thanks so much!

Growing up, I never had to struggle with being overweight until I reached my 30s. Now, I’ve run the gauntlet of every conceivable diet out there in my quest for a healthy balance of proteins, veggies, etc. Making matters even worse, I’m a hardgainer, which I guess most girls would be greatful for, but I’d love to really pack on 15 lbs. of muscle. I was vegetarian several years ago, even trying the vegan lifestyle for about a month, but didn’t know how to eat properly (especially when trying to fuel my body) and just wound up being even MORE skinny-fat. The last couple of years have just left me fat-fat… and completely frustrated. Watching the documentary “Food, Inc.” made me remember why I was vegetarian in the first place, and having a healthy plan from someone in the industry who is obviously knowledgable and has walked the walk would go a long way towards my confidence level, and I believe, my success. And thanks for doing this contest… what a great idea!

Hi Kardena,

I’ve been a vegetarian for 25 years, 1st 10 years as a vegan with pretty awesome health, last 15 years reverted to eating dairy (cheeses quite often) & fish when out. I’ve also have very severe reactions as a coeliac to gluten in grains. As life got busier I began to pay little or no attention to planning my meals & so fell into a rut of eating whatever was available… eating from a diminishing pool of foods with regular flair ups from gluten contamination.

Recently I decided to focus on my health, lose the middle age spread & do something serious about rolling back the diseases of affluence I had picked up along the way. I picked up the The China study by Dr.Dr. T Colin Campbell & read it while on hols at the beginning of the month. Immediately on my return I signed up for the Cert. in Plant Based Nutrition by Dr.Campbell on eCornell.com. I’m really enjoying the clear understanding I’m getting there & at the same time I came across your site through Crag Ballantyne’s site. There is a wonderful synergistic timing to studying the science behind plant based nutrition & coming across your web-site & videos with the emphasis on the pragmatics of “How To do the diet” making it easy & simple to understand.

Since I know how quickly I tend to forget text based learning, I realized last night that I needed to condense it down into a rhyme that would allow me quickly check through the essentials while faced with my particular temptation… e.g. a thick slice or 2 of buttered lemon cake, when I am feeling peckish. Before I made that fateful trip into the kitchen, I made up the following memory aid to strengthen my resolve… It worked & I chose fruit instead. I share it here as an opening shot to see if the idea could work for anyone else, and defintely the rhyming couplets could be improved on.

HEALTHIER Option: As a newbie myself, relearning better eating habits, I’ve developed a memory aid to help
me make better food choices on the spot, at meal times or when I feel tempted. Please feel free to suggest a better rhyming couplet, the last line seems a little flat?

SKImP on OIL & FAT
SKImP on PROCESSED Items,

SKimp on SUGARS & STARCHES
FEAST on FRUIT & VEG,

MODERATE your GRAINS.

To your good health & mine,

Hi Kardena,

Since the mid-90s I’ve been eating mostly vegetarian, with the odd fish and poultry mainly just not to be a complete social outcast. My taste buds were definitely leading me to become even stricter but over the years with a family I found myself eating way too much pasta and bread, and subsequently my weight started to go up. About 9 months ago I decided to reintroduce daily animal protein in my diet in hope to lose fat the body building way. Not only have I lost no weight, but I feel sluggish and tired especially after meals. Therefore, I definitely want to go back to vegetarian eating, maybe even mostly vegan. But this time around I want to do it right and not find myself eating starchy carbs only. I believe your meal plans could help me finally put to rest the 15 extra pounds I carry. But even more importantly, I want to overhaul the way my entire family eats; my husband was recently diagnosed with cancer and I intend to do everything in my power to help him fight the disease and get well soon. His diet is one of the things I can contribute to but I need help. Your easy veggie meal plans would go a long way in our kitchen and could make a miracle in our lives.

I eat the same veggies over and over and over. I’ve been doing this for over a year. I got to my goal weight of 115 but I need to know how to cook and use more than peppers, mushrooms and onions with eggs. Please help me.

I was reading Alywn Cosgrove’s blog and saw Craig’s post on vegetarian dieting. That’s how I found out about Kardena Pauza. It’s always good to see that these top fitness professionals are vegetarian or even vegan. Like Craig Ballantyne, Jason Ferrugia, Dos Remedios and Kardena. It gives me hope that I can achieve my goals on a vegetarian diet.

I have been obese since childhood and grew up in a family full of obese or overweight cousins, aunts, uncles, parents and other relatives. When I was twelve years old, me, my sister and two cousins decided to became vegetarian just like my grandmother. That was a great decision, but that alone didn’t help to lose weight. When I was 18/19 years old I even gained weight on a vegetarian diet up to 276 pounds. After that I started to make changes in my diet. I also started lifting weights and making long rides on my bicycle for cardio. In a year or two I lost a big chunk of my weight. At age 21 I herniated a cervical disk and this prevented me from doing a lot of vigorous exercise. I am 24 years old now and stuck at 227 pounds.

Meanwhile I have been educating myself a lot about nutrition and exercise. I have read a lot of online articles, books and forums. Since my neck is injured I have also been looking at alternative ways to train. Luckily, I have found systems like TRX suspension trainer, resistence bands, yoga and I am starting to practice running.

Listening to Kardena’s interview inspired me to look beyong mainstream fitness advice on nutrition, supplements and protein. I also didn’t consider the hidden protein that’s in my food already, the eight grams of protein in 100 grams whole wheat products or brown rice. I also came across Brad Pilon’s book “Eat Stop Eat” on intermittent fasting and that also changed my perspective on dieting and the supplements industry completely.

I have been following the diet plan from the free ebooks since sunday morning. I went shopping on saturday to buy all the healthy food that’s on the diet plan. I really like the convenience of the plan. I live at home with my parents who eat meat all the time. If I don’t plan or prepare my meals properly, I am stuck with eating vegetarian food I am not supposed to eat on a weight loss diet.

I am really looking forward to these ebooks, especially the bonus with 101 recipes! There’s just one suggestion I’d like to make from reading the free diet plan. Most of the foods are measured in cups which is a volume measure. But if you had to measure one cup of strawberries for example you could take large strawberries and fill up a cup with less weight than if you took small stawberries. It would be more accurate to use a weight measure like grams. This would also be more convenient for people living in Europe. I am keeping an eye on the blog and hoping to read more entries with information on healthy nutrition and diet for vegetarians. Thanks for doing this.

Hi Kardena,

First I want to thank you so much for having such a wonderful weight loss plan. The most important thing to me is that this is a diet that everyone can fellow to be healthly. It is hard to know what is healthy because of the way things are packaged in the stores and people often think they are eating healthy. Like Craig, I found myself amased at all the salt I was consuming not really realizing it.

I tried to eat well my whole life but I just need help in knowing what kind of food to eat and how to make it delecious for myself and my family. I have many members of my family that are serious diabetics and many aunts and uncles who died from Cancer. I want my family to turn out to be people who have done all they can to overcome the tragedies that my siblings have suffered. I want vegetables to be a part of my children’s lives and to be honest, I’m not sure how to make the food taste delicious enough and change it up enough to keep the kids coming back for more. I used some of your recipies and the kids seem to enjoy that very much. It was not boring for them any more. For that I must thank you very much. If nothing else, I have learned that children will mimic what the parents do and hopefully they will learn to be healthy. People like you,Craig and Vince are all good influences on children and I make sure that my kids know and learn to love your way of life. Fresh clean wholesome foods and good hard excersize is what everyone needs to do to live a healther life. I would like to continue showing my family that anyone can change and it is never too late. I exercise every day at 5 a.m. because that is the only free time I have. It is worth the time to get up early when you know that you will feel great the rest of the day. I love it and feel wonderful. I do have extra weight to lose but I know that if I follow your plan I would have succeeded in changing my life for good. I plan on doing better and better every day trying to educate my children on what healthy food realy is. Hopefully your recepies will help me teach my children that food is really delicious and can be healthy too. I refuse to take my children to McDonalds. I don’t need to with delicous food at the house and the children don’t fight me on this. I want my children to stay fit until they can decide what is good for them when they grow up. Hopefully they will learn that good nutrious food is what makes their body be the best that it can be. Again thank you for a great start in helping me teach my kids that it does matter what goes in your childs stomach. I enjoyed your free samples very much and it is a wonderful thing to add to my family’s favorite recepies.

I have had difficulty maintaining a healthy weight beginning in my teen years. Fat loss became increasing difficult after the birth of each of my three children.

Last year I decided to get serious and start exercising and improving my eating habits. The main difficulty was that I did not have any guidance, so my efforts were guided by trial and error. Exercise and nutrition and the foundations of fat loss. I discovered that finding effective exercises was easier than finding nutrition information on the vegan diet.

I was at the point of giving up on finding anything to help me lose fat on a vegan diet when I received the email from Craig. It contained a link to the Easy Veggie Meal Plans. The saying came to mind that when the student is ready the teacher will appear. And here it was, the perfect solution to my dilemma. After a year of performing weight training 3 times a week combined with aerobics 3 times a week I have plateaued.

Being a student and a mother the ease of following a menu of planned meals would enable me to finally reach my fat loss goals. My life is very hectic and sometimes the task that gets this least attention is meal planning. Sometimes this leads to less than ideal choices.

The Veggie Meal Plan would provide many health benefits to me and my family such as preventing diabetes, giving me more energy, and healthier eating habits. Winning the program would be a tremendous boon for me and my family.

Sincerely,

Ariana Curiel

I don’t know why I’m intrigued by these Veggie Meal Plans. I’ve never really considered vegetarianism as an option. Then again, a few years ago I never thought I’d be cutting out most processed carbs or counting my protein grams.

Maybe I’m just at a point where I like to try new things and this feels outside my realm of creativity to design my own plan. I’m a wife and mother so the thought of trying to figure out my meal plan if it were to differ from my family’s is overwhelming. Then again, it would be good to have more options to put more healthy non-animal sources of nutrients into my family’s diet.

I do lift weights at least 3-4 times a week (depending on program) and consider myself a fairly healthy person. At my age (early 40’s) my mom already had had a small heart attack and was taking oodles of drugs for heart disease & various related conditions.

I would appreciate the chance to try this diet/plan/lifestyle/system and see what it does for my body. Sometimes I like to experiment!

Thanks for the chance to enter!
Brenda

As a mother of 5 very energetic boys from ages 9 to 1, I find myself putting my self last when it comes to nutrition. I already find my self eating more fruits and vegetables more than any other foods, yet I can NOT get rid of belly fat. I need The Veggie Meal plan as a way to get back into shape and maintain a lifestyle that I want to pass on to the boys as well. Winning this would be a huge help for me. And I thank you for your time!

Weight was never an issue before…I hit 40. I had my 2 children a little later in life (age 38 for the last) and so eating with them has not helped in addition to my metabolism slowing down. Suddenly it seems (when in reality is has been over the past 6 years) I am turning 45 and am about 45 pounds overweight. My boy is VERY active and I find it hard to even attempt to keep up with him. My daughter wants a mom to do fashion oriented stuff with her and my figure and fitness level just don’t work for that venture (trying on cute stuff when there is back fat, etc.). I need to set a much better example for my children and for all of our health. (My cholesterol is a major concern as my doctor wants to put my on meds for it; my husband has MS.) In addition, my children have only 1 grandparent living–my mother who will be turning 70 this fall. I would love to have this program to share with her. She has “tried” every diet program out there…however, this is the only 1 I am willing to try with her which might be the key to success for both of us–me keeping her accountable and on-track and her success motivating me to stick with it as well. She became diabetic about 11 years ago and needs to lose over 75 pounds; this will hopefully also resolve some of her other health issues (high blood pressure, high cholestrol, arthritis pain from excess weight on her joints, etc.) She had a double knee replacement 3 years ago but doesn’t exercise AT ALL because the weight is simply too much for her joints. My children love her and would be devastated to lose their only grandparent…so, I really want us to lose weight together and get her beginning to exercise. I’m a stay-at-home mom so time is available but money is not. Our garden is bursting with veggies that need some recipe ideas to put them to their best use in our weight-loss and transition to healthy eating lifestyle!

I’m always looking for ways to include more quality protein AND more fruits and veggies in my diet. The problem is most of the time the best sources can be the most expensive: FRESH fruits and veggies as opposed to canned, fresh quality meats such as lean beef along with chicken and turkey (unprocessed). Add to that the fact that I lost my job this year, I really have to be more conscience of where and how I spend my money and have to make the healthiest food choices on a strict budget. The last thing I want to do is sacrifice the quality of healthy foods and a sound nutritional diet. It’s a lot of work, but I know it can be done. At least I’m trying 🙂
Thanks for this program and contest.

Hi,
I struggle to get my wife to cook better for us. She works really hard at it and thinks she is doing a good job. She is not a reader and doesn’t understand that meat and potatoes every night is not healthy and neither is cereal and poptarts for the kids every morning. What I need is to be able to hand her a book of recipes to choose from instead of the ones she is presently using. I have to be careful how I present any criticism as she does work hard at it and I don’t want to hurt her feelings but during the slow education process she could just pick some of your recipies and our whole family would reap the benefits.

Allo,

I happen to be Deaf, and unfortunately I have no clue of every videos you guys have talked and talked about, of what not to eat or what to eat. And I’ve not bothered to download any audio and you could know why. 🙂 I have been pondering about one of my favourite foods: tofu. Having a feeling it’s no good just because it’s processed, I take?

I’m a vegetarian for over 10 years, on and off. Currently on straight since last year as a (about 98%) vegan. and I exercise for past several years as I’ll turn 40 in few months. I collect veggie cookbooks & fitness books for years, both published and online. I make my own breakfast smoothies almost daily. It’s a great struggle when it comes to vegan eating, especially on the go. I have some body fat issues, solely on my core. Something’s wrong with the picture!

I’m hoping you’d find a way to make transcripts included in future downloads, to be deaf-friendly. I think your meal plan ebooks could benefit me as met. Thanks for reading. Thumbs up!

Hello Kardena,
your vegi meal plan is going to be a boon for a strict vegeterian like me….for last 10 years i have been struggling to get a proper meal plan not just for diet but for lifestyle. Being a very busy person i hardly get time to cook and above that as they say “the toughest thing is to think” it really kills me..at times its actually better not to eat rather than think so hard about what to eat especially on the go!!! Would be very happy to be the lucky one to win your book.

Kardena,
I have been a coach for volleyball and soccer, over the last year one of the girl’s decided to go vegetarian thinking that she would lose weight, it saddens me to say she is only getting larger. Her mom & Dad are divorced, dad is remarried to amy BFF and has tried to introduce her to proper nutrition…to the teenager my friend is just the evil step-mother, mom & dad are both over weight and just don’t seem to get it. I would love to help this soon to be freshman in highschool get a grip on her eating so that, she may lose the weight and become a healthier person as she seems to catch everything she’s exposed to! Thank you for your consideration in my attempt to help not only the teenage girl I mentioned but others as well. I am a massage therapist and often get asked for advise on these subject matters and would love to beable to pass on AWESOME information to them!

Hello,

it’s been over a year now since i had a hernia operation and since then put on a fair bit of weight. About 6 weeks ago i started eating vegetarian. I started by eating only fruit for the first 3 days and then added vegetables. In the first 2 weeks i lost 3 kilos but since then i havent lost anything. I started drinking purified water with a TDS of 1 and eat all my fruit and vegetables raw. I can’t seem to lose any weight and train up to twice a day also. Everyone tells me i need to eat chicken and fish to obtain more protein and calories to lose the weight. Your help would be appreciated

Hello Carlo,
Congrats on making the transition to a healthier you. I have several questions that may be strange but I can think of several things that may be helpful. 1st- how many bowel movements do you have per day? general rule is 2-3 times per day. if you are not then you need to have more fiber rich foods and maybe more water (drink half your body weight in ounces as a rule of thumb, work up to this)so your body can clear out the intestines of excess plaquing, fat and toxins and the fiber helps the body get rid of excess fat and toxins. 2nd- check your portion sizes since you can even over eat on a vegetarian diet. 3rd- sometimes you may have an emotional anchor from whatever caused you to gain the weight in the first place. I’m not a psychologist but I’ve seen people loss weight after letting go of emotion tied to their weight gain. You’ll do great, Kardena

I want to be a good role model an provide ‘the best’ for them while in my care. Of course in helping them I must help myself first. I think this resource will be the key. Jude

Hi Kardena and Mark,
What a great surprise to see you on video! And a great website! Your book looks very interesting: “Easy Veggie Plans for You.” My reasons are quite simple.

As you know I’ve always been interested in learning from you and Lou and have followed you both around for a long time. I’m up there in years now, need to kick back, rest, and relax more. I’m also moving to senior housing as I can’t take care of my mobile home anymore and would love more easy simple recipes. My kitchen will be very small and I certainly don’t eat a lot either. I love the easy breakfast I saw you prepare and that was a great idea – the fact that you put your protein in a bowl, with the fruit and raisins – a great alternative to smoothies all the time. I’m no young chicken any more and want to do less preparation in my kitchen.

If I don’t win, I would love to buy your book at the low introductory price. I’m at zeldag@sbcglobal.net if you want to tell me where or how I can get your book. Keep up the great work. By the way, Mark looks great too on your video at the airport. Take care of each other!

Blessings, Rhoberta

I’m not a vegetarian, yet. (Today I bought Tofu). I’m sure that with all the years you’ve had that your meal plan must be amazing. I’ve completed my first round of P90X, got some good results, just not where I was hoping for, the baby belly area. I’ve had 3 kids and it seems that it doesn’t want to come off. I’m proud to say that I stuck with my workout program of 6 days/week, and I’m now starting round 2 of P90X, but I am lacking in the nutrition aspect. I’ve gone back and forth from cutting out wheat & dairy, just in search for something that will work. I think that having a plan is just what I would need, “something to follow”. FYI I love your raw Zucchini, (I can now enjoy serving pasta with my family and have zucchini and not feel left out, in fact, my kids loved the raw zucchini, before I dreaded having to cook it and battled with myself on whether to have some or not) I’ve also started the detox tea and hope to get good results from it. I do understand that eating beans is very satisfying, how do you eliminate the belly bloat? Thanks for sharing all that you have learned with all of us.

Hi Kardena,
I recently found out I have to eliminate dairy and sugar from my diet. This was how I ended up surfing into your video about how to make Almond Milk and now here I am hoping to get your book. Health issues and medication for said problems were instrumental in me gaining a lot of weight and being overweight for 10 years. Always being small I found this very upsetting and I tried everything to get my weight under control. I finally made it losing 64 pounds and feeing better about myself when I looked in the mirror… and then ( wouldn’t you know) ended up being taken off the medication so weight has not been an issue anymore but I still do not feel as I should. I am hoping your book will help me get my life back to where I not only look good on the outside but feel good on the inside. Another Chapter in this book of life has opened for me and I have no choice but to move forward. I have decided to accept what I cannot change and to love it. How many times has things happened that made us stop and say..If this or that had not happened we would have missed out on something special. Life after all is an adventure to be tested and tasted…. and I am going to sit back and enjoy the ride hanging on for dear life for as long as I can laughing the whole time and embracing it ALL.

Hey Kardena,

Thank you so much for providing such an excellent source of healthy, tasty, veggie meals and information regarding health. It has been a challenge for me all of my life to not only be fit, but to be healthy at the same time. I was raised in a home where pastry and candy bars were a staple each night after a large meal. I have begun a Candita diet and have lost 10lbs since January first. However, the Candita diet was not a New Years resolution, it was a necessity. I had been extremely ill since the middle of October and felt uncomfortable with the options the doctors were providing me with. My mother-in-law went to the health food store and found out from a customer and a worker that I had symptoms of Candita. The customer had previously had Candita as well and informed my mother-in-law it was not easy to defeat eating sugar. Once she stopped the sugar intake, she felt great and was able to function again. I knew then it was time to try changing my diet. I no longer desire sugar after every meal, nor have I touched any sugary item, except one Granny Smith Apple since the first of the year. I am no longer am exhausted after walking through a super market (Yeah, it was that bad!). I love vegetables and am looking forward to implementing them more heavily into my diet. When I stopped eating all sugar products, including potatoes and carrots, I knew one day I could add the vegetables back, but it would need to be in a healthy eating plan with exercise involved. I am looking for a life plan, not just the diet of the month. I am conscious that what I put into my body directly affects my health, so I am asking you for some help in order to create a better me. I am about to graduate college and am looking to create so healthy habits for daily living. This is why I am asking you for a chance to win the copy of your book.

Thank you so much for your time and patience in reading my story. Have a health day!
